Why do people hate Battlefield Hardline?
I have never seen why hardline was such a hated game in the battlefield community i personally loved the game, did it get repetitive? Yes but so does every other game, is it a true battlefield game? No, Hardline only has the battlefield name on it because EA told visceral to so that they would get better sales, considering it's pretty hard to sell a new game by it self nowadays, But people complain about the gameplay, which honestly isnt even bad; people say things like "it doesnt have tanks" or "theres no jets it sucks" you know why theres no jets and tanks? CAUSE ITS A -blam!-ING COPS AND ROBBERS GAME YOU IDIOT WITH THE BATTLEFIELD NAME THROWN ON TO GET BETTER SALES......:3, it obviously focused mainly on the infantry combat which people for some reason didnt seem to understand making vehicular combat a lesser thing on Hardline..... well im done for now, let me know if you agree :3

The Battlefield title means big combat, in terms of ground and air and sea. Hardline does one of these poorly. You use the "It's a Cops and Robbers game" argument and yet it's literally nothing of the sort. Go play Payday 2 if you want a authentic "cops and robbers" experience.

It was battlefield, but they put a cops and robbers skin over it and removed some of the best things about battlefield to fit it. If the game was it's own standalone title it probably would have done fine, but having that battlefield name on it kind of put it in a bad light when it came to be compared to the other ones.

If TLDR: The title and marketing of Hardline as a Battlefield game is my problem with it. --------------------------------------------- I cannot speak for everybody, but what turned me away from Hardline is that EA marketed it under/within the Battlefield name/franchise. My perception of this business decision is that EA wanted to cash in on the popularity and success of the Battlefield franchise rather than risk having it stand on its own as an independent title. As a longtime Battlefield franchise fan that action disappoints me and as a gamer, in general, offends me. [There is a bigger problem here, but not to go further into how the big name video game industry is taking us, consumers, for suckers and we are, by majority, okay with it.] I do not think the game concept is bad, but I do not consider it a Battlefield. I cannot speak on the gameplay because I have not personally played it. I might very well find it enjoyable if I ever give it a chance, but I just cannot get over it not fitting and deserving of the Battlefield title.

I think mostly because 1. It seemed like a mod more than a new game..Bf with a new skin and more bugs. 2. The graphics were exceptionally poor for the old and new gen consoles. It seemed out of place for a 2015 release. 3. For me personally, I tried the campaign and it felt "cheesy". Like a bad episode of criminal minds or something. Plus, multiplayer was off balanced. At the time, assault seemed the only viable class. I also didn't like the change in theme too much. Hotwire is really fun, but not enough to motivate me to buy the entire game

It's nothing even close to the scale of what Battlefield fans want. Shit maps, shit weapons, shit everthing. I want to wage large scale war, not play cops and robbers. I want to play with modern military hardware, not patrol cars! It's a huuuge step back and a slap in the face to anyone who loves that franchise.

It hadn't got enough content, was heavily criticised. No variety with guns, maps. I enjoyed the game for about two weeks before getting bored due to lack of content. It has a better net-code than BF4 though, was running on 60hz servers. Game had potential, but vehicle whores hated hardline...
