Really boring and repetitive bounties though. I remember having to replay the first dark below mission (Fist of Crota?) 3-5 times just to get the daily bounties done :(

That's if you prioritized it over doing weekly strikes, nightfall, raids, other daily bounties. Most people didnt get into doing them until after they got the stuff they wanted and reached rank 32 or 34. It took me until house of wolves and my friends till the taken king. And that's with us playing everyday for at least 4 hours a day. I had about 600 hours before I decided I really wanted the shader enough to finish ranking up for it. I was rank 2 when I seriously started it did only take me a week. But that's with about 1 hour to an hour and 1/2 to finish. Given that me and my friends usually need to fill our fire team with randoms. I couldnt finish the raids with all my characters during that week.
