Not Bungie, not Activision, not Deej or Cozmo, nope. I'm talking to you Destiny community, your vile toxicity is ruining this game.
This game had a real chance at being something spectacular yet these forums are dragging it down massively.
Get a grip, is rift really that bad? No it isn't, I've been playing solo and have been kicking ass on my warlock and I'm pretty awful at PvP so if I can do it, you can.
If you don't like the game stop playing it, don't try and ruin everyone else's experience as well.

2 RepliesI don't think rift is all that bad. I rarely play it so its kind of a nice change and the games go quick. I see why people get annoyed though, in my first game last night my team goes in and ignites the rift first, literally 5 out of 6 guys left the opposing team immediately after we scored. They left one dude high and dry and thats bullshit. Play and finish the damn game rift is such and easy game type to comeback from if your team is behind

2 Repliesbungie asks for feedback and we give it to them, we can't help that alot of the time it is negative.. and when it could be positive they have done a horrible job at the timing and implementation that it comes as a negative.. for instance.. 4 and a half months TTK has been out.. the calcified fragments have been available and everyone has been requesting a way to track progress per character considering the reward is based on attaining each fragment on the character not the account.. we hear no feedback from our community managers regarding this, and then bam.. we now have it.. the problem is why we didn't have it day one, or within a week or two instead of so long after many of us have found alternate ways of keeping track or already have completed the quest so the upgrade is pointless.. great job in bringing the advisor to fruition just way to far behind in getting it rolled out for us.. We have asked for private matches in cruicible since sept 2014 and yet still have not received it.. why.. its a huge want from a large portion of the community.. along with everything else requested.. feedback is provided on changes and never acted on or seldom acted on or so late in being acted on they might as well have not done anything..

The reason why people are complaining isn't because they don't like the game, they don't like the direction to game is taking. They're trying to make the game better (not all of them) and you basically trying to make them stop. I agree. Rift isn't as bad as everyone like to say and I know it's only been one day but the matchmaking seemed to be way better.

1 Reply"The forums" are dragging the game down? They have no impact on what the developers decide to do outside of "Yeah we're listening" bullshit that every developer states. Taken King was excellent, but that was in September and we've had no solid update on what the future holds outside of limited events that have no substance to them and developers who have left us in the dark. I love the game, but I haven't played it in weeks because there is literally nothing to accomplish, unless you're new, which is fine, go kick some ass, but outside of Trials, this game has no content. Shitty loot system in the raid/shitty matchmaking in PvP, developers leaving us in the dark for 7 months, lying about updates on weapons (the AR for example) etc, etc, etc. I respect Bungie and enjoy the community, but really, at the end of the day, Bungie are the ones making the decisions that impact the game, not the forums.

you remember the quote "if you can see it, you can go there." Well then, cut content from the get go. talk about the community being toxic, yes it is, but every forum is toxic. the forums is such a small percentage of the actual players. they get all their decisions from data they take from game play.

As a crappy crucible player, also having no problems with iron banner... I suggest that you don't mix up the Destiny community with the Destiny forum community. They aren't the same base. (Proven by how many people say "oh I just check forum, I don't play", mixed with the fact that forum users are a tiny percentage of overall users.) Rock on guardian.
