Dane Gallion was so worried about public shootings that police say he committed one.
Last Thursday, Gallion popped a Xanax, ate a pizza and downed a 22-ounce beer. Then the 29-year-old headed to an evening showing of “13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi” in the Seattle suburb of Renton, Wash.
But not without his handgun.
Despite a Regal Cinema prohibition against firearms, Gallion sneaked his piece into the theater. He was, he later told police, “concerned about recent mass shootings in public places.” So concerned, in fact, that he kept his gun unholstered and tucked into his waistband, according to the Seattle Times.
Fifteen minutes into the movie, Gallion’s gun somehow went off, police say, striking the woman sitting in front of him. Gallion quickly ghosted out of the theater, allegedly discarding his gun’s magazine in a trash can on the way out. It was only when his retired Air Force colonel father learned of the shooting 90 minutes later and called 911 that Gallion finally turned himself in, according to the Times.
2 RepliesI agree that people are idiots, but I guess that's what you get when you have too many parents not disciplining their kids.

16 RepliesEdited by Onion Beetle Fan: 1/26/2016 9:54:03 PMSo he broke the law by: -being drunk in public -carrying a gun while drunk -carrying a gun while under the influence of drugs -carrying a gun into a business that doesn't permit it -fleeing the scene of a crime -failure to render aid -tampering with evidence -lying to police -... and he has a criminal history. This is why Americans can't have nice things. This post is entirely mine. Do not steal.

2 RepliesEdited by AYRES: 1/28/2016 4:30:47 PMShe shouldn't have got in the way of the bullet.

2 RepliesIsnt there something called "A safety"? Who the -blam!- goes to a safe public place with their gun cocked and ready with safety off? Not to ention high and drunk WTF
-
*Is worried about mass shootings* *somewhat logically owns weapon to defend himself in the unlikely event it occurs* *illegally conceals the firearm in a movie theater* *presumably leaves the safety off* *Must be a Dirty Synth*

'Murrikah.

That seem kind funny and ironic. Scared about getting shot, and accidentally shot someone. Heh. Also, nice to know you're still here Maxy.

If that lady had a gun maybe the bullet wouldve ricocheted off of her gun and none of this would even be news worthy
-
1 ReplyWhy is that news? People perform illegal acts with guns all the time. He should get a felony charge for each account and jail time to match. I count 6 felonies. But, since alcohol was a factor they will probably let him off if he can prove he was intoxicated at the time. Drunkenness gets a lot of slack in the US.

1 ReplyHe is an idiot, why the -blam!- did he not have the -blam!-ing safety on?
-
3 RepliesGuessing after the "please silence your cell phones" advert we're gonna need "please set your gun to safety" advert as well

3 RepliesAmericans: "i need guns to protect myself from other people with guns" What the fuuuuck. How the -blam!- do you even know how to use a gun if half of you are too stupid to think properly.

2 RepliesSo you're wanting to restrict drugs to?
-
4 RepliesIf anything this can be used in favor of the Pro-Gun side. This guy broke roughly 15 serious laws in only a few hours one of them being shooting someone. A person who will take Xanax, get drunk, drive high and drunk to a movie, carry gun into no gun zone, (By himself it seems I might add which is weird), shoot someone, flee the scene etc etc etc most likely wouldnt obey gun restrictions considering.....well he didnt obey the ones already in place So why take away honest law abiding citzens rights over doofuses like this
-
3 RepliesWhy did he have the safety off?? Isn't that like the number 1 thing in gun safety??
-
Sounds like he was having a good day until the gun incident

2 RepliesEdited by CrazyTheGoose67: 1/27/2016 10:09:54 PMHey, at least he was prepared. But he's a prepared idiot. Why was he's safety not on? So people are stupid.

7 RepliesI still don't understand why they can't teach gun safety as part of a public education.
-
3 RepliesNot surprised someone got shot in a cinema screening 13 hours, amazed that it didn't happen during American Sniper screenings though.,

1 ReplyIf guns dont kill people what are they made for?
-
11 RepliesThis is why safe gun practice is 100% essential. My s&w .40 doesnt have a safety. So i keep an empty magazine in it and the full one out of it. Simple as that.

4 RepliesEdited by Breach: 1/27/2016 7:59:33 PMHe broke the law multiple times. No gun zone, no conceal carry, round chambered, possibly public intoxication.
