Destiny Elitists.
Used to think Destiny had a pretty good community for endgame content, till now. Now that RNG has finally blessed me enough to get up to 309, I have been trying to get into the King's Fall hard raid. The problem though is wherever I go for "Recruitment" to get into a fireteam all I see is "MUST be 315+" "Must be 319-320" "Must have all challenge emblems" "Message me your light. Oh you're under 317, can't invite you" "If you are not 315+ do not even think about messaging me noobs". ANd on and on the list goes.
What happened to the community? Every elitist out there was 310 or lower when the hard mode came out, so you had to do it when you were not at 315.

I don't understand posts like this....Yes there are groups like that but I never have that hard of a time finding a group. Both my warlock and titan have been through the raid by now, but even before completion , this isn't a real problem.

I think if its something you disagree with then make your own posts and ask for guardians under your own conditions i dont agree nor disagree with you. All 3 of my charachters are now between 315-318 and that was not easy to do and took time so sometimes i dont have long and need a solid raid team that can just get it done. Sometimes then ill play with people of lower light and help them out I do both and to be honest i think most other people do also

3 RepliesWhen did being 320 become the bad thing. I'm not and elitist and don't need to be carried . You want help? Try asking instead of complaining to everyone that has trudged through this raid countless times. You think RNG is my friend; guess again, he -blam!-ing hates me. It takes a lot of grinding and robbing Peter to pay Paul to get to 318 and above. Take it for what it's worth , these post do not promote empathy toward your cause as much as they strengthen the divide between the groups. I would love to say I started this raid with a group that knew what they were doing, but they didn't. None of us did. We just trudged along, wasted countless hours trying to figure out what we were supposed to be doing. I know it sounds mean but I think I've earned the right to put the cruise control on easy mode after pushing through this raid from levels 300-320. Good luck out there and stay classy.

When people post on LFG they can be picky about it. Not saying it's right, just how it is. You want to avoid "elitists" find a good clan with some good admins. That's really the only way to avoid running into people that are super restrictive about who they play with.

I just post "kings fall hard mode fresh run. Message me" and I usually get a team quick. Anybody who gives a -blam!- about light level can suck it. As long as you more what you're doing, light level doesnt matter. Especially being a 309.

1 ReplyIt is sad that the community is like this but you need to realize, there are a lot of people out there with jobs, including myself. We simply don't have all day to do the raid, so we set these requirements to improve our chances of quickly completing the raid, however when I join a team I don't mind seeing a lower level player, but if they continuously cause wipes (normally on sisters and oryx) I do not want to waste my time. Just keep looking, make friends and learn how to do the raid through videos and guides. You will find a team who will take you, and you will also level up where people will just take you.

Be at least 305 or > Light Level with a 310 ToM and a 310 Black Spyndle or Thousand Yard Stare, somebody will pick you up. Just play smart, know your role and absolutely try not to or no....Don't Die and Stay Alive!!!! Dying more than twice or making the team wipe will get you booted from an LFG group......

I've been lucky on lfg. I send messages to all groups when I didn't meet requested level. Stayed I was new to raid and able to follow directions. Many groups allowed me to join and I was geared up quickly. Now I have a large pool of regulars that I play with

You can do hard raid at 295 up to oryx and then by the time you hit oryx ....its possible but its noticable ...you take so much damage from so little Lfg ...is a bunch of (scrubs/dipshits/assholes/good people)... Your job is to simply root through them and find the good people ....sometimes its harder than the raid itself

This community has always sucked. Remember a large majority of the player base consists of elitist COD players so what would you expect? You would be doing yourself a huge favor and simply drop this shell of a game. Trust me, I feel way better since I stopped playing this scam.
