Quitting is Ruining Iron Banner
Anyone else noticed an incredible spike in quitting players? Every single match I've played thus far has been gutted before the match really began. Borderline unplayable.

I haven't seen anyone quit on my team except when I got spawned in on a 1v6 game.

I was playing against a team of 6 last night with my friend. Match started and they all quit. I had 4 medallions and my friend got a free exotic engram. It was pretty nice. Thanks whoever you guys are.

Well I would quit if I had to face nothing but laggers, cheaters, snipers, and bum rushers. I don't understand it is 2016 and bungee doesn't have dedicated servers. You know they just don't give a shit anymore, that is why they aren't making anymore dlc

I stick out most matches. If I'm stuck in a lobby against a fireteam, I'll play a fee matches then leave while in orbit. Once I have five medallions, if I'm flying in to a match and I hear "heavy ammo available" before I land, I'm -blam!-ing out.

I havent quit and suck at times, but tge game is a joke.....give anyone from bungie a handgun...Ill stand 30 yards out with a machine gun....who wins

My Fireteam of 4 experienced one of us being kicked to orbit as we flew in during 5 different matches. You can't just blame it on people quitting.

6 RepliesThere really should be a penalty for leaving matches. I know you have to quit sometimes but if tryhards keep leaving if their team is losing they deserve to be put together with other people leaving games frequently or get a temporary *0.5 multiplier for reputation or something

Yes. Problem is there is zero penalty for quitting. If you have 5 medallions of iron, you have no reason to play in a losing match.

Only time I quit is when I'm put into a game in progress. If I join and the team I'm on is losing by more than a few thousand, I'm noping straight out of there.

I don't know that I'd call it unplayable. Losing means more medallions. And honestly I ended up in a game with only THREE of us on our team, but we held onto our zone and were suvcessfully very annoying until the rest of the team finally showed up, and then we OWNED THEM!

Edited by Mok: 12/30/2015 1:18:09 PMThis has been a problem ever since the first Iron Banner held over a year ago. That one was particularly bad, since no medallions were awarded for a loss. You either won and got rep, or you lost. If your team was down by 1k or 2k midway through the match, your team would start to leave. I toughed it out and was able to get to max rank 3 (yep, that's right, max rank was 3 for the first IB).

Had a match start 6vs2. I was, of course, one of the two. The other guy was AFK. No way I was staying in that game.
