Quitting is Ruining Iron Banner
Anyone else noticed an incredible spike in quitting players? Every single match I've played thus far has been gutted before the match really began. Borderline unplayable.

From reading the forums, it sounds like disconnects are at an all-time high during this IB.

I would stick it out! Iron Banner produced two good weapons.....Nirwens and Fel Winters. YES they got nerded but I missed out on them.....so you never know what gun will be fun right?

7 RepliesYes.....and I was one of them last night. I quit because: 1. You only get rep for winning. 2. You can only carry 5 Iron Medallions at a time. 3. Despite playing as a solo, I spent most of last night being put up against CLAN FIRETEAMS, or getting dropped into matches that were already lopsided, and where the opposition already had heavy and supers charged. Long story short. I lost EIGHT matches in a row, despite playing pretty well. Sorry, but I refuse to be held hostage and have my time wasted by Bungie's ridiculous matchmaking.

1 ReplyMaybe bungie should fix the match making and this would go down a ton. Individual players on a team versus a fire team of 5 or 5 shouldn't happen.

If I'm on 5 loser medallions and they put me in a match already in progress that doesn't look good, f you I'm gone.

Bungie should do what 343 is doing, too many quits will result in a ban for a few minutes or more.

I refuse to back out, even if I'm the last on my team I refuse to lose!!!!

Players who manually return to orbit during a match should receive a 15 minute matchmaking ban.

I think you might find its more likely people getting kicked from the match. I've seen full fireteams vanish when they were winning. And have had issues today where 2 plus. Myself included have found ourselves kicked with . . Armadillo code back to orbit

Except for one short period yesterday, I have not seen many players quitting matches. Even that period was not out of the ordinary from my experience with previous IB events. I played quite a few matches yesterday evening, completing daily bounties on all charcters and quite a lot of progress on the weekly bounties, so the hours I spent in IB gave me enough time to assess the amount of matches that other players abandoned. Interestingly, I had no disconnects whatsoever. Not even one! Hopefully, this trend continues through the remainder of IB.

4 RepliesQuitting a match should result in a 50 rep loss. Quitting 2 matches in a row should result in 100 rep loss. Quitting 3 matches in a row should result in a 30 minute matchmaking ban.

I can't speak for others but I got disconnected from more matches than I completed last night, it was really frustrating and probably looked like I left the game, but it wasn't by choice. I even took a screenshot of the end of match rewards screen on one match where I joined a match in progress, got ONE kill and the entire enemy team lagged out as well as half of my team all at one time. It gave the 3 of us that were left the win.

It's not all bad, I got an exotic from three of coins one game for playing for 20 seconds.

1 ReplyYesterday I was playing with a friend and the enemy team lost 4 of its players, who knows if it was on purpose or because of connection issues because I went three games in a row where I'd get some connection issue and be disconnected.

Yeah. And it happens quick. Don't get B first? Someone quits. Start losing like 2000-1800. Someone quits. Take the lead again and then lose it? Someone quits. I got 5 medallions real fast....

I leave when there's either massive lag or when you spawn in and hear "defeat is imminent"

I haven't seen anyone quit on my team except when I got spawned in on a 1v6 game.
