I do. Nightfalls used to be one of my favorites Strikes to do because it was actually challenging and unforgiving.
Anyone can solo a nightfall now, but props and respect to those who soloed it when "Nightfall" modifier was active. I soloed a few with my trusty Ice Breaker.
Whats your best Nightfall memory?
Edit 1. Wow 100+ replies, thats a lot of awesome (and frustrating) memories!

Edited by XxnatonxX: 12/17/2015 9:41:39 PMIt actually annoys me now that nightfall no longer has the nightfall modifier, it's almost as bad as Shaxx saying "Show them no mercy" and then he declares a mercy ruling -.- pleb.

You know what was terrifying and gave me nightmares? Soloing Omnigull as a level 32 on Nightfall with no burn and Lightswitch on, then accidentally blowing myself up with a rocket with Omnigull down to only 3% health. I fking cried myself to sleep.
-
Me being the clutch move in the Valus Tua'arc strike. My team was dead, I was a sunsinger and I was able to snipe him dead before his final bullet killed me: luckily I self rezed before the timer ran out.
-
I solo'd almost every week for the last couple months before Y2 nightfalls. So much fun
-
Everything changed with 3oC's. People often forget that NF used to be "so great" in Y1 because it was one of the few sources to get exotics. Now everybody uses 3oC's in easier activities. People think NF gives crap rewards now, but in Y1 it was crap as well. I remember having streaks of 10+ NF's (that's 3 per week, so almost a month!) without exotic rewards. But you still did it without doubt. Why? Again, one of the few places to get that mythic Gjallarhorn. Now... Yeah. Three of Coins. It actually might have ruined everything in a way.
-
Yes...taking it very easy..one step at a time...no hero shit..clean rooms from as far away from enemies as could possibly get...see a legendary engram drop in the boss fight which you wanted to pickup but didn't cause there were still enemies. Now : Run through most part of the nightfall without firing a bullet and hammer the boss that isn't even a big challenge.
-
5 Repliesoff topic, but the good o'l Ice Breaker...one of the few weapons that felt like a true exotic
-
Still have night sweats, especially year one when some Nightfalls were stupid op. Nexus void anyone
-
I miss doing night falls and feeling any sense of accomplishment or reward. Sure being kicked to orbit sucked when you made some boneheaded calls but it taught you to plan every engagement. And the simple reward of the blue flames was often times better than any dropped received. But above all I miss the incredible joy I felt when that Ghorn dropped for the first time after nine months of grinding.
-
I remember when I got hard light off the nightfall, now I get 11 strange coins, oh how the times have changed
-
Ah good old sepiks with void burn. Was running with 2 people who went afk half way through. Got to boss fight, was really intense had a tiny bit of health left when my super charged, ran out and Nova bombed ol sepiks. Was shaking but was brilliant. Oh.... One of the guys who went afk got gally... I got strange coins. Never used lfg for nightfall again. Good times.

2 RepliesBack in the day, when you had to be careful; I managed to earn a reputation as the most revived person in my clan. A record I still hold, actually. Just can't resist those heavy ammo bricks in the open...
-
Soloing omnigul without realizing how retardedly hard it really was until reading forums after the fact. I wondered why it took me an hour until I read everyone crying about how hard it was lol
-
2 RepliesMiss it, the rewards, and the flames.... /sigh...year one, never forget
cheers
-
i remember when atleast one warlock sunsinger was a prerequirement for nightfall yes.
-
I remember back in year 1 my first nightfall I did solo was archon priest and I got my first ice breaker it was good times
-
I'd rather remember factions not taking FOREVER to level up because of that juicy reputation bonus from the old school NFs...
-
1 ReplyMy best was when I actually got something worthwhile from it. -_-
-
Best memory finishing my first and having to do it half solo, then a friend joined, soon after another as we got to Sepiks. One friend got a TLW and I got Thunderlord no 2
-
I miss soloing omnigul the most. It was intense and so frustrating to get her to a sliver and die. Usually killing myself with a grenade or rocket launcher, but damn when it was over you got that feeling of accomplishment.... until your reward screen popped up.
-
What's a nightfall? I haven't seen one of those since August.
-
Just Gjalarhorn it!
-
2 RepliesRemember when nightfall rewards were good
-
3 RepliesOn the other hand, think about SABER-2. How much fun would it be to lose the boss fight and start over at the warsat?
-
1 ReplyFriends were carrying me through my first Nightfall. I was level 27. I got Gjallarhorn for my first ever drop. They didn't talk to me for a week
-
should have never messed with them i dont remember a single person complaining about the nighfalls although im sure were a few. just another example of bungle trying to kill their game. it takes forever to rank up a faction now
