Last Word Logic
The Last Word was nerfed quite a while ago. You didn't see one in every single match you ever played in the crucible anymore. But it would still pop up now and again. Still deadly. Not as deadly, but a skilled hand could use it. Like it was MEANT to be. (read the grimoire card on it.) I understand hand cannons recently got a range increase with this update but I mean come on. Maybe leave this one out? TLW is just cheaper than ever now. You guys know it is. That's why it's in such high quantities in the crucible. The chances of getting into a match where there is at LEAST 1 LW is higher than a match with 0.
Don't believe that? Go play 5 matches in different lobbies right now. I can GARUNTEE you TLW will be in the majority. Even if that individual(s) are on your team, that weapons there. Multiplayer shouldn't be like that.
EDIT: I guess this needs clarification (although it shouldn't) but when I say "cheaper than ever" I mean since year 2. Seeing as nearly all weapons of legendary status went moot and exotics all got re-vamped at that point.

Apparently, this needs clarification yet again. Overused =/= Overpowered. Just like the MIDA, people are taking advantage of the fact that it isn't being outshines by everything else. TLW is not even close to OP. You need to fire from the hip for it to even remotely live up to its potential, and even then, if you aren't dead on with your aim, you aren't getting a kill. You can easily be outgunned by any other gun. Let's also not forget that you need to be within spitting distance for it to be deadly. The further away the target, the less likely you are to get a kill. Sure, you can still hit a target from a good distance away, but not anywhere near where it used to be, and it takes a skilled hand to land long range shots with it now. Just because people are using it a lot doesn't mean it's OP. If anything, it's the most balanced it's ever been. It's working within its intended range, all perks are working as they should, and using it doesn't guarantee a kill, ever. So, what exactly is it about this gun that you think is OP?

Hand cannons got a blanket 20% range increase [i]while aiming down sights[/i] just because more people are using it doesn't mean it suddenly got good again. Still takes a minimum of four shots to kill and hip fire accuracy hasn't changed. I think the last word is in a great spot right now, coming from someone who never stopped using it. It's all perception.

I think that fan-firing should be disabled while aiming down sights. I was using The Last Word on Exodus Blue, and the thing is [i]perfect[/i] while hip-firing: It shreds while in close, but is hard to use in medium to long ranges, the way it should be. Unfortunately, I noticed that while aiming down sights I could still compete with pulse rifles at medium ranges. This is why people complain about this gun. [b][][][][/b]

I can beat a TLW user with The Vanity at range or any Sidearm mid to close range unless they get the jump on me.

12 RepliesTlw is in the meta atm. It is great paired with a sniper because you dominate at every range. That is why you see it. Scrubs try to follow the meta to get better with the weapons people are using to succeed. Isn't OP.

2 RepliesDon't really care...TLW plays like a sidearm, which I played with quite a bit before I ever picked up a TLW. If they make it worse, I will just equip a sidearm and keep on having fun.

1 ReplyYou have zero idea what you're talking about. Handcannons got an ADS improvement, not a range buff. You don't ADS with TLW, if you do and you manage to kill someone with it then you're extremely skilled. It's only range, and stability/ accuracy bonuses come from being hip fired. It's an extremely close quarters weapon designed for protection against shotgun rushers when using a sniper.

So anyone that says the gun was nurfed is wrong. A bug that made the gun broken was fixed. A nurfed is when something is working as it should but is made to be less effective. Also handcannons did not get a range boost. They got an accuracy boost which was badly needed. Mainly because before the patch you could be at optimum range, have a perfectly aimed shot and yet still miss. Note: I don't use tlw so I'm not defending it. I'm just tired of people that cry that something was nurfed because the crutch bug they used got fixed. Edit: Just to clarify I understand that handcannons as a whole got a nerf. My point is that tlw was not specifically nerfed. It had a bug that made the gun broken fixed.

TLW plays similar to a sidearm, currently. Except that you aim a bit more with sidearms, sidearms have a bit more ammo, and reload faster.

10 RepliesI almost never see it in the crucible, and when I do they just get owned. You people hop on the forums, see what people are complaining about and just bandwagon along. Do you guys even play the game or just troll the forums? My experience In the crucible for the last few weeks has been a ton of autos and scouts. That is what I see a majority of. Sorry if my experience has been way better than yours.
