BUMPS AND LIKES ARE APPRECIATED :D
+ All six orbs must be dropped every time the gaze is taken
+ For each orb, a different Gazer must be used
+ [Maybe] - More than one run of orbs can be used, provided all six are used the first time (We don't know if all orbs must be dropped on partial completion)

6 Replies1 orb strat still works. 3 people on left and 3 people on right. Pass gaze back and forth , when the last person is about to get gaze shoot bubble and jump in pit. Rinse and repeat.
-
3 RepliesTHIS IS WRONG. YOU DONT NEED TO DROP ALL 6 ORBS. Success criteria : You don't need to use all 6 bubbles. Only one bubble needs to be used. The only criteria for success is that everyone must hold the gaze at least once per damage phase (unless golgoroth dies during a damage phase). You can not lose the gaze before everyone gets it and a gazeholder can not die while they have the gaze (golgoroth can not "satisfy his hunger"). Easiest Strategy : Designate one main gaze holder. They will grab the gaze first on the left. Everyone else should drop down and damage golgoroth as normal. When the gaze is at 5 seconds left, a second person should jump out of the pit and grab the gaze. When the pool of reclaimed light is gone (the puddle), everyone else should jump out and then person 3, 4, 5 and 6 should grab the gaze one after eachother. Assign numbers before starting. 1, 3 and 5 will be on the let side and 2, 4 and 6 will be on the right side after jumping out of the pit. No other changes are required to the normal one-pool strategy. Unknown question : Is it possible to 5-man challenge mode or do you need to have six people? Let me know if you've tried it. 1 ReplyEasiest strat right here did it first time so simple! Grab gaze drop front left orb. At 10 seconds one person jumps out to grab gaze from opposite side. At 2-1 seconds grab gaze then everyone else jumps from pit and swaps gaze. Rinse and repeat! Did it our first run. Relatively simple with good communication!

"Each boss’s challenge requires that you defeat them in a very specific manner. How, exactly? We’re going to leave that up to you to discover (but apologies in advance to those that run the single-pool strat for Golgoroth). Good luck, Guardians!" - Bungie

Edited by F GGY TIME: 12/9/2015 1:41:27 AMI did this a few hours ago, I will tell you how our team pulled it off first go with 1 bubble strat 1. Clear Ads 2. One member grab gaze, one member stand opposite of gologoroth, other 4 drop first orb then drop in and dps. (corrupted light remember to leave) 3. First gazer all out at 3 seconds and have member behind golgoroth grab the gaze 4. Next (dps round is over), 2 members go and meet with the member that just grabbed gaze, other 2 members go with first gazer. 5. Trade off gaze between remaining members until everyone has had the gaze, 6th member to get gaze can let it run out. 6. Rinse and repeat 7. Final dps on golgoroth does not require all players to grab gaze.
-
Only need to 2 orbs but all has to have gaze. We used L1 & L2 on 1st gaze then 6th gazer.
-
-
This strat is incorrect.
-
This isn't true! We have just finished all 3.. you have to have 6 people run the gaze every time it is taken.. but you do not have to drop all 6 bubbles. What we did was have 2 people take the gaze, and drop two bubbles.. After that the 4 remaining people swapped the gaze between them until it had finished. Rince and repeat it should only take you 2 attempts. Hope this helps.

1 ReplySo what happens if u do 1 orb per round but have a differant gaze graber each round does that work
-
1 ReplySo pretty much just do 1 orb strat and every time different person get gaze?
-
Are u kidding I did it twice today and both times it was same orb every time
-
Only 1 orb is needed. Your guide is invalid.
-
26 Repliesso instead of doing the mechanics were just trying to figure out how to 1 Orb this? lmfao pathetic
-
1 orb needed. Each player must hold gaze each round.
-
Or a do t have to be dropped
-
just have gaze getter jump into the wall each time and easy win. this way each gaze getter doesnt die.. else is business as usual
-
I can confirm that the number of orbs you drop doesn't matter. You can drop one orb, as long as all 6 players take the gaze at some point.
-
3 RepliesCouldn't you drop first orb, do damage, then pass gaze and on last gaze have everyone drop in and do damage again. May prevent need for a second go around or for those that can't do enough damage in two orbs on the first orb of the second wave it should take him down.
-
Your post so wrong! It's do much simpler than what you described.
-
They literally just released a video on YouTube of dropping the orb the initial time and then just passing the gaze around 6 times. Then the second round the dropped one orb and just cycled through everybody on the same orb and killed him in one go.

Thank you for the links! I think I can get my team through the challenge with these tips! :) Bump!
-
2 Repliescan I get a bump.
-
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-IFKWxs11a8 each alive person must grab gaze during each damage phase all orbs do not need to be dropped!!!! yes multiple runs can be used all you need to do is do one orb strat then pass it to everyone after damage is done!!!

Confirmed, all six need to take gaze, but you do not need to use all the orbs. I.e use one orb strat but pass gaze between the six players either before or after dropping the 1st orb
