So I think we all agree that War Priest challenge mode was not exactly challenging, although it was significantly more rewarding. Instead of just complaining, how about some ideas for challenge mode that they could implement.
My challenge mode for War Priest would have 1 modification to the general mechanics: whomever is holding the aura dies at the end of the burn cycle (super is drained to prevent self-revive). This would force teams to think on the fly about who is going to replace the plate of the newly dead aura holder. It also means that you have 1 less person to burn the boss on the next burn cycle, likely forcing you to do a third burn and have to deal with another aura holder dying.
Edit: LUCALEVA has a great example. Preventing the Templar from teleporting to get the additional chest on VoG is a great "challenge mode" challenge. How could we apply something similar to this raid?

1 ReplyFor golgoroth I imagine that once you use an orb it won't spawn again.. for sisters I'm not sure bit for oryx, like the priest, one person can't run the relic more than once..

Not all teams will want to be forced to do the raid differently so you can't all of a sudden kill off a player. What happens if you don't want to do the "challenge"? They have to add something that doesn't change the fight but is harder I.e. Stopping the Templar from teleporting. Don't really know what they can do with this fight other than no one dying, different holders - maybe killing him in one cycle? that would be much tougher but probably doable. Golgo - killing him without loosing gaze could be interesting. Oryx - different runners is the obvious one but it will probably be just not letting anyone die or not missing a bomb This is also the first look so let's hope they don't just recycle the same things each time but change it up every three weeks We shall see

4 RepliesThat's probably not any more difficult as plenty of teams lose ppl during first and second rounds. If you have 3-4+ spindles and weapons/tether it shouldn't be an issue.
