Black spindle is BS!!!
Tried it 10 times. I'm 310 and my 2 friends were 310 and 315 and we couldn't even come close. I don't understand why it's so damn impossibly hard. Please tell me what I was doing wrong.

Have someone equip raze lighter and have him insanely charge driviks. The other two guys stay behind with rocket launchers. Then after that, go to town on the mobs. Stormcallers and Sunbreakers will be very helpful in mob sweeping. Nightstalker will be less offensive, but still good for stopping those taken psions from running away.

I did it with two randoms at 285 (or thereabouts) while they were around 290. Did it first try with 8 seconds to spare :) No exotic swords, no particularly great weapons, no particular strategy for any part other than being very aggressive. You can't take your time to snipe from cover or move slowly. Have warlocks use stormcaller, hunters use nightstalker and titans use defender. Try and create as many orbs for each other as possible. Use the Darkdrinker exotic sword on the adds, and sleeper simulant works very well to quickly bring down blights, or ToM coupled with blessing can work too. You just need to be very aggressive. And make sure that you're full on heavy and special ammo before starting that part of the mission. You'll be able to pop two heavy ammo synths before the fight is over if needed. At the boss you can have a dedicated add-control or all of you make sure to regularly switch from dps-ing the boss to focus on add-clearing when necessary.

Did at 290. 3 defenders. Go up to him, put up bubble and the sword/shotty him. Repeat until death. Kill adds

1 ReplyI find it funny how all the people who can't do it be like "BUT WE WERE ALL 290/300/310/320/420blazeit!!! WHY COULDN'T WE BEAT IT?!!" That mission has a recommended light of 240. It doesn't matter if you were light level 420. You failed because it's a somewhat challenging mission.

The easiest strat I found was 2 titans with blessing of light and 1 hunter with tether ... Do bubble on boss pillar and attack him with sword (preferably solar exotic) when ready snipe down the blights and kill all the adds

Edited by DsrGGuy: 11/30/2015 7:47:33 AMTrick is to run 3 titans. 2 bubble, 1 hammer. Land bubbles on boss, create excess orbs, kill boss, hammer, hammer, bubbles and hammer more. Or you can switch 1 or even both bubbles to hammer and decimate the world. Get the boss first, kill blights, then kill the large reds, kill the yellows, and then finish the trash. I know it's a pain, but it took my group 2 tries and I actually got kicked at the end before the bos and came back in with 30 seconds left and mostly trash left. Had to try again. My advice is to heavy ammo synth at beginning, sword everything until the boss and resynth and then use the swords to take boss in bubbles and then use them to take the big reds quickly because they go down in 1 or 2 swipes, of course after the blight goes down first. The trash could also be cleared partly to help with damage resistance as your running the room. If people go down trying to take the reds, bubble over them, revive and work from the bubble. Blessing of light is a must IMO. we did armor and it didn't help at all since nothing came in the bubble. Had a minute left and we died more then we should have. Just keep trying.

It's just about having the right strategy, it's not that hard once you nail the strat. Kill blights, kill adds, hurt boss, back to blights when they spawn back in, then adds, then boss. Repeat until complete.

Got it second try. First try my friend and I did it with just two of us and almost got it. Second try we got a random and it was easy. We were all in the 290s

I did it with: Me(301) a 297 & a 292. Let me break it down for you: [b][i][u]1st room[/u][/i][/b] ● Emidiatly focus the black ball (blight). ● Then focus the knights on the right side while 1 focuses the blight. ● Once that's done focus the centurion. [b]You should try to finish this part at the 9min mark [/b] [b][i][u]Room2/tunnel room[/u][/i][/b] [i]This is pretty straight forward[/i] ● Captains first then the rest. [b][i][u]Room 3/Devil walker room.[/u][/i][/b] [i]In this room blights & wizards ahould be priority.[/i] ● Blights are priority, there are three of them. ● Wizard & acolytes. ● Vandals should be focus now. [b][i][u]2nd staircase room[/u][/i][/b] ● Focus that captain and remember the knights [b][i][u]Boss room.[/u][/i][/b] ●As soon as you're here theter the boss and nail him. ● Moderate add control. ● As the boss falls the adds and blights need to drop.

Get at least 1 storm caller or crowd control roaming super, try clear out the adds and bubbles with storm trance and have a sword so when your super ends you can still devastate

Ok, I been saying this forever now. But this game is just too casual now. To the point were casuals can't beat the easy things.

From the sounds of it everything. The main battle is the adds not the boss. Firstly control blights and adds then damage the boss when you can. If all goes well you should kill the boss add free with about 2 mins left.

Have one guy work on adds and blights. Two guys work on getting boss down with sleepers or snipers and weapons of light/tether. After boss is down work on blights and finish off adds. The team I was with had it finished with about 2:15 left on clock and I ended up getting the ship !
