Ban hammer
Wether we wanted it or not we've stepped into a war on the internet, so let's start by taking out their command one by one.
Seriously, how about ip bans for rick rolls, click bait, blatant and/or malicious replies, and all the other horrific crap that fills up the forums. It bothers me that a rick roll post will be trending with 700+ replies but most legitimate game discussion posts barely get past 10+ replies. "Swift ninja justice" should = you're not welcome here anymore.
Edit: I would like a place where 99% of the posts are actually relevant to the game. Be it answering a question or in depth discussions about lore. I have a lot of hobbies and am a member on a lot of forums. Not a single one of those forums is toxic at all, or filled with rick rolls and click bate. Moderaters are fair, and active, and keep everything in check. There's no reason for this forum not to be like that.

2 RepliesIP bans don't work - they are trivially easy to bypass, especially in a place where accounts are free to obtain. This easy access to accounts is why we tend to focus on bad content not bad users - bad content is easy to remove permanently, bad users are harder to remove permanently and are always replaced by new bad users anyway. While I sympathize with you about your desire for the forums to be like all the other forums you visit, I'd wager that none of those forums have such a large and diverse set of users as ours. There is not a second in the day that a new topic is not posted to our site. This massive size both limits the available solutions and also the speed at which we can effect meaningful change. I'd argue that it has improved over the last few months, but there is plenty of room for improvement. We have lots of things we want to do (there are literally thousands of items logged), and we're slowly churning through them. Your feedback is appreciated, however.

Ive been at the blade of this so called "ninja justice", not for being vulgar or "trolling" but for expressing my valid opinions on this abusive, greedy manipulative version of Bungie.

There has been more moderators and administrators posting on the forums since my absence. I don't know who half of them are or why I should trust them, the fact that the "Old Guard" of moderators had one bad apple already made me suspicious of Bungie's moderation on the site, the last thing I need is that same bad apple giving me an IP Boot just because he wants me off the site, he's already shadow banned me for legitimately no reason. Not to mention with DeeJ being the massive Fedora Tipper he is, there shouldn't be any stricter punishments in place for casual rule breaking. And besides, IP bans are already a thing, however Achronos has stated (and it's possibly the only sensible thing he's ever said since the site update) that IP bans aren't fair because that would block out entire college/university campuses, and why should a different student/user be banned for the actions of another? IP bans are only for shock/gore/porn spamming and even then it's a last resort. That is completely justified and should stay that way. Sorry Daz, but you're gonna have to wait for me to roll out the ED Offended page before you can permanently, unjustifiably silence me. And that's not going to happen so stay mad :^).

The unfortunate part is the forum and the game is like the rest of the world. There is the good and the bad. Keep posting your true bugs, issues and suggestions. The Bungie team will see past the crap I expect. Stay frosty guardian.
