Forget No Knight Strat, THIS is how to beat Hard Oryx
No Knight Strat is an absolute mess.
It feels very simple when it goes well, but things seem to go wrong all the damn time.
Take the chance out of your raid and try this strat.

Edited by Star Gazer2: 11/3/2015 3:26:44 AMany strat can work as long as everyone can do their jobs. I mostly use the no knight strat cause not everyone in my teams are strong enough to kill the ogres and knights. I usually run it as a 312 while my friends are 300 - 305.

As long as runner Stays alive and only a Titan up top dies we can continue, if a platform dies we continue and rotate a Titan if the relic dies we make up for it next run and use are back up runner

2 RepliesSeems simple, but the no knight strategy is even more simple. The only times things go wrong is if the runner dies when trying to take the relic. Your way requires a lot more work, but if it makes you feel safer then go for it. My group never has trouble doing Hard Oryx with no knights. It usually only takes us 2 tries

1 ReplyOr just bubble on top of the sisters platform opposite Oryx, allows you to hit all Ogres AND Knights quickly and easily. We just run one Defender with WOL and snipers, drop down after the ship had passed.

Been using this strat. Only the two titans set up on top plates so the bubbles aren't in the way down bottom. And it's easier to kill Knights from the top.

6 RepliesI've done 7 hard mode completions, 5 No Knight and 2 were this Bubble Strat and I'll never go back to No Knight. The Bubble strat is so much more smooth and easy and risk free and both times I've done it we've beaten Oryx within the first 3 tries.

Try running the "normal" strat with a group of 6 random guys. After the first or second wipe, someone is going to say "Let's try the no knight". Once that happens, expect to spend the next couple hours shooting at Oryx. Regardless of the strat you are using , team dynamics is the only thing that really matters. I have completed Hard with all 3 classes multiple times and never with the same group. I've studied the techniques being used. It's all about the team. I'm guessing that with the right team you could have a "no relic" strat, an "all hunter" strat, a "gunslinger" strat, .....

2 RepliesSeems like a solid strategy if you have 2+ titans. My question is, what light level were the members of your team? The nice thing about the no knight strategy is that underleveled players can succeed with it.

We switched to the No Knight strat and holy shit. It was so easy. I'll never do it the way you've got posted again. No Knight strat is way less of a cluster -blam!- and way easier for the teams I run with. But if normal center strat works for you and your guys, great! Use it all day. Me? Not a chance! #NoKnightStratFTW #TeamNoKnightStrat
