No Knight Strat is an absolute mess.
It feels very simple when it goes well, but things seem to go wrong all the damn time.
Take the chance out of your raid and try this strat.

7 RepliesTwo titans on a sisters platform with WoL and Blessing using ToM to down ogres. Plate jumpers job is to stay alive and kill their Knight when the titans kill their ogre. All meet on the sisters platform when relic runner grabs the brand. By the time oryx slams the relic runner will have joined you and you stagger oryx. After the stagger a hunter drops an invis bomb for everyone and the three plate jumpers go to their bombs. One of the two titans gets the 4th. Second titan and relic runner drop down into the middle. Everyone detonates their bombs and heads back to safety relic bubble. Rinse and repeat three more times for an easy win. Ya'll make it way more complicated than it is because it's "hard mode".

Let's face it, the knights take 1 sniper shot + 1 scout rifle bullet. It is a lot safer to kill ogres and kill the knights.

Nice strategy.

3 RepliesNo knight stat users, "Killing the knights is harder" Knight killing strat users, "Not killing knights is harder" Sounds to me like both sides are just bad raiders. I do either one based on what the group wants to do. I can do both strats perfectly, and perform any role requested.

2 RepliesI've done this strat on hard several times, it is WAY smoother then the no knight strat. Your team just needs to know their job. Get good destiny community quit doing the no knight strat.

28 RepliesEdited by TakayukiAzuta: 11/4/2015 8:41:48 AMThis post isn't really important so you can skip it but I feel like I should clear something here. (This is based on the overall amount of players. Not to the established teams.) I can tell you 6 disadvantages why the knight strategy is the uncomfortable strategy for all 6 players in your fire team. (Based on my own experience) 1) people need aim (snipers) / most of the players can not and I repeat it again "can not" aim that good. if you can, well it's all fine but don't talk just for yourself it's just so arrogant and it doesn't help anyone at all. You have to think for your whole team. That's the key. 2) you won't make a first try (I'm 90% sure about that) what brings you to the following numbers, 3. and 4. 3) you need dozen of special ammo packs (snipers). 4) you need dozen of heavy ammo packs (relic guy). 5) after people killed their ogre, adds/enemies will respawn with the knights. 6) people have way more to work which can increase the stress factor (killing the ogres then knights with accurate shots and maybe some adds/enemies while you need to run to the middle) It may well be possible that I forgot some but I think those are pretty much the most important. The no knight strategy. 1) people don't need aim. 2) no one need to use their ammo packs and have to worry about their ammo. 3) people just need to weak the ogres and can relax. 4) shoot at oryx and kill all the ogres from the top, run in your bubble and get back to the middle. 5) repeat all of that. Easy win and it makes way more fun because no one gets angry and pulls down the mood of the group what is really really bad doing the hard raid. So, if people can't stay alive for like 2-3 mins then they are doing something wrong or they just can't play this game. When I play with people that likes the knight strategy and I want them to try the no knight strategy, they die all the time. And it's only them. Then they begin to tell the rest of the fire team "it's bullshite, the knight strategy is way more easier etc". Now look once again at the advantages and disadvantages I have listed. People can't play an easier strategy but want to play it on the harder way. It makes no sense to me. Does it to you? When I play with a team that knows what to do in the no knight strategy they can make easily first try. I personally have no problems to do both strategy because it is important to us that we have more space to play different strategies and bungie should give us the opportunity to decide what strategy we want to use to beat a raid boss. Thats my opinion.

Not clicking that link. Just on principle.

1 ReplyIsn't this just the normal strat?
-
Every time I try doing normal strat, my team mates just end up getting rekt by the ads. Because of this I've only killed him with no knights. Personally though, I feel like both strats are equally difficult. I still haven't gotten a hard mode primary :/

Bump I like this way better than the no knight aka "wiping your ass for hours" strat

this strat is legit

Edited by PRGRMMR: 11/5/2015 1:45:44 AMThis exactly how I've done it every time. Only difference is we only use 1 blessing bubble and put it on a daughter platform. I love it because I can use Tom on everything except for the shade. Tom with blessing straight up melts ogres. Any leftover knights are easily sniped.

5 RepliesYour team is obviously comfortable playing with each other and obviously do on a regular basis, Trying this strat with LFG teams would take forever... I agree it's the best strat for a normal 6, But no knight strat is best strat for LFG groups.
-
20 RepliesThe no knight strat is the best way if you can't do it you simply need to go play 3DS.

I don't raid with people who do the no knight strat.

Did it last night and it made it 10x easier
