Learn to grind some pvp to 'EARN' a gun. I know that word might scare you, earn, but you guys are way to childish. I don't understand how you guys can grind for some fragments, flakes, and special sword crystals which are just boring old repetitive grinds - but when presented with a challenge you guys whine and moan that the game isn't easy mode anymore. Pve takes no skill. If you don't mind shooting a predictable AI boss that goes through the same routine then that's on you. Just please, don't come complaining when you actually have to step out of the comfort zone to 'EARN' a completely OPTIONAL piece of gear. When did gamers become so lazy that a single challenging quest made them so aggravated? I can't seriously believe any of you guys are real RPG fans. Guys who went to grind Chocobo races in FFX, or fought any of the weapons in any FF game. Hell you guys probably never unlocked Gill in SF3, got the gold medals in Doritos crash course, beat any old mortal kombat game.
Bottomline is, when the hell did gamers get so entitled. This whole 'I paid for the game I choose how to get what I want' mentality is stupid. If you want your own game go make one. You guys are ruining games right along side Bungie's business practices.
Edit: I really don't mind if I sound a little rude or annoying. If you aren't one of these pve guys then this post isn't for you. To all you other complainers. Learn to man up. It's a game. You really can't be bothered to challenge yourself in a game? Seriously?
Edit 2: Yes. PvP guys moan as well. My point is everyone should stop whining. There is no pay to win. We are all on equal footing. So don't expect the same guns of you didn't put in the same work. Simple.
Edit 3: This is still getting commented on for some reason so here. Stop making this pvp vs pve. PvP whines nerfs. Yea I get it. PvE whines too. Right now PvE is whining a lot more. So I made this thread. Just like I've made threads to tell PvP people to stop crying nerfs. I'm not trying to put PvP vs PvE. I'm trying to tell people to stop complaining about the exotic quests. If you want the same gun anyone else has do the same work. It goes for Chaperone, First curse, ToM, any exotic sword, ect. Don't expect all the gear if you refuse to play the whole game. Also please stop this childish as 'forced' thing. No one is forcing you to do anything. No one has forced me to do the raid so I haven't done it, but that doesn't mean I'm being forced into it for the gear.
TL;DR : Don't expect all the gear if you refuse to play the full game. Don't expect the same gear someone else has without doing the same work.

pve requires skill, as do pvp. just in a different way. there is a reason why there have been an insane amount of fireteams who tried oryx but haven't killed him.

Edited by TheShadow: 11/1/2015 5:27:45 AMOk, im curious. I know PVP is a challenge and you guys get rewarded for getting to the lighthouse. But PVE is not a real challenge and the PVE players dont get really rewarded. How is that fair? I say make PVE more of a challenge and give weapons and gear that are the same light level. Not the samethings but its only right in the aspect of knowing not all PVE players like PVP and it works both ways. Ots not right to make one thing in a game that not all players can complete or realy like playing better then the other.

13 RepliesPvE doesn't even whine, people who play pvp exclusively keep wanting nerfs that break pve. The only thing I wanted nerfed in destiny is the sunbreaker subclass, I don't give a shit what people say, but that subclass is just broken for pvp, 8 shots, health regen, large overshield, longest super duration, grenades that burn too long, etc.

Edited by Cashjr23: 10/31/2015 8:40:06 PMas much as I hate PVP when Iron Bonehead comes around, I always take two days away from PVE TO rank 5 and buy my little gear and emblems...imo PVP is easier especially if you play with an organized team...but to go and solo PVE is a challenge.

Right alongside the asinine mentality of " how dare a developer dictate how I choose play a game." Ummm, its their game, they choose how its played.

29 RepliesYou know, I found this post to be most amusing. "Learn to grind" in pvp. Later you state the pve is a grind so it shouldn't bother anyone to 'grind' in pvp. By your own words, the pve player has already 'learned to grind'. Now you suggest to go 'grind' some more in a more challenging and more frustrating atmosphere. Didn't really think that through much did you? If you'd payed any attention at all, you'd have read that the 'grind' has been a topic all along in that the 'grind' is too much and has become more than it ever was. Another amusing point or better said statement is that you don't like pve players constantly complaining. This comment is probably the funniest thing I've read on these forums. It doesn't take much to scroll through the forums and see the predominance of pvp complaints. These have always been the most talked about topics and always complaining. Every nerf has been from pvp complaints, EVERY nerf. Gun netfs, subclass nerfs, nerfs, nerfs, nerfs. Pvp complains they don't want pve only players in crucible because they are ruining the match trying to complete quests. Pvp as a whole complains about everything and changes the game for everyone which is always negative for pve to satisfy the cries and plethora of whining crucible posts.

2 RepliesPvp guys bitch way more than pve guys. Pve guys bitch about shit that pvp players ruined, like every weapon type in the game besides pulse rifles..
-
3 RepliesPVE is more strategy and teamwork it doesn't necessarily take skill but why attack PVE guys? PVE players are the ones that cry for nerf. Someone should write a book about how the PVP player cried nerf.

1 ReplySorry but some of us just wants to enjoy a game and move on with our lives, we're not trying to get crowned for a game that does nothing for our lives but just a time waster to get us by after work. On top of that I actually find that the people who are so good at pvp are the ones who suck ass in pve and ask to be carried. If I wanted a real skill shooter game I'll jump back on cod 4 modern warfare or battlefield as for this game and it's crucible I could careless where I rank.
-
1 ReplyI choose not to do heavy PvP grinding for my health. Used to do MLG back when it started on CoD 4 Modern Warfare. At black ops I had to quit. Started to get some negative health effects due to becoming extremely competitive and raging every night. Do I expect that I need every exotic handed to me on release hell no. The fun for me is the hunt for it. What I do expect is better options to complete quests not east mode options. But options to choose the path in which one can achieve goals in quests.

It really has nothing to do with being lazy or not having skills. For some people PVP or raids are not an option. When did gamers become so intolerant? Bungie have designed these quests solely for the purpose of making people PVP. This is a short-sighted idea that impacts negatively on all players. When someone is chasing an objective or quest, especially in something they dislike, they are not playing to their full potential . Their goal is not to win, but to get the thing they dislike out of the way and complete the quest. If you do the raid, do you want someone who is dedicated to the raid or someone who just wants to complete his quest? Same goes for PVP, do you want someone who wants to win on your team, or someone just chasing the quest regardless of how many times they lose?

Edited by AlamoCity: 10/31/2015 4:58:45 PMYet it's the PvP side that whines and cries for nerfs. Now that's annoying af.
