The multiplayer for halo 5 is amazing! There is little to no lag and it just feels great to play. Bungie please get dedicated multiplayer servers!
Edit: Guys this post is about how great the PvP is. Not the story. I finished the story, it was okay. But the multiplayer feels great. Please read the entire post before responding. It makes you look ignorant if you don't.
Edit: Over 300 replies. Geeez. My biggest post so far.
Edit: Trending and over 600 replies! Awesome! It's great to see other people are enjoying the multiplayer as much as I am. :D
Edit: 1000 replies!!! You're all amazing!

4 RepliesYeah the connection might be good, but the gunplay/mechanics are so much better in destiny than in maybe any other shooter. A headshot is so satisfying
-
Dedicated servers will never happen, by order of Activision.
-
2 Replies60 fps, no lag and zero RNG hype!
-
3 RepliesIn my entire life of Destiny I have had NO lag at all. Not in Iron banner, Trials or even normal crucible. I have a wired connection and I never have contacting destiny servers. If they game is lagging then it is your fault and no one else's.
-
5 RepliesThe multiplayer is f*cking awesome and it's nice having dedicated servers but I think something that quite a lot of people don't actually know, is that 343 is actually just a subsection/ branch off of bungie, they only really went with a different name because a lot of the original staff stayed to work on destiny

2 RepliesIf you like halo so much what are you still doing in the destiny forum
-
1 Replyyou should have a look at halo 5s brand new theater and be amazed by how shit it actually is

I have not played H5, but every Stream, YouTube or review says that the PvP is excellent. As long as you have good internet (1 mbps or more upload, 5 or more down, low jitter and Wired to console) you have a superb experience. That is pretty much what I found in TitanFall too, which has dedicated servers. No lag, no host advantage, no IP exploits, no Lag Switching. So it's pretty much Dedicated Servers Rule - Peer to Peer Console connections (i.e. Crucible) Drool.

2 RepliesAfter 2 days of dedicated server pvp I can't see myself playing PVP on mid 90's networking tech unless there is some quest I'm bent on completing and it is required. if you have not read all the novels, etc... for Halo I can see where where the H5 story may seem jumpy but it is actually a fantastic extension of the lore from all previous Halo novels/games/live action/animated shorts - so many little details everywhere if you know what you are hearing or looking at and we only did one run through on normal. Grunts are hilarious if you stop and listen to some of them

Lol Bungie made halo pvp what it is.
-
1 ReplyThey won't do the dedicated servers nor the private matches because they do not want this game becoming a MLG attraction. Why? I have no clue, other then the meeting every other week.
-
2 RepliesBut 343 already took notes from bungie(alot of notes aka I.P.) so if bungie took notes from 343 wouldn't we just be back at square one :0
-
3 RepliesJust wish the armor and emblem system was better
-
Bungie is like a franchise name. Like McDonalds. It's a name being used by other people to make money.
-
34 RepliesTime to take some notes from 343 about multiplayer are you dumb are just stupid for these two years its been up destiny is FPS MMO and halo is a pvp fps not to mention halo 5 has no mother -blam!-ing story line
-
343 should have took notes from bungie
-
5 RepliesDestiny is trying to be like halo making pulse rifles and scouts the best guns in the game now.
-
37 RepliesEdited by Schruef: 10/29/2015 2:11:55 PMSo... Delete 90% of the weapons in the game to be the same as Halo 5, then balance those, lower the graphics quality, and raise the FPS. Totally.
No.
Go away, suck some Spartan microphallus some more.

5 RepliesDestiny uses deticated servers. However there aren't any connecting servers from all ove the world. So when everyone from all over the world are connecting to the destiny server in vegas, that's where some lag comes in. Deticated servers aren't the problem, it's how much Internet is needed for destiny. So many people barely meet requirements to stay connected and is why there is so much lag. You may run 100 down 100 up but most don't they lag because of it, and you can see it, isn't the servers fault.

Haha well welcome back everyone. It was a nice day on the forums yesterday. Guess everyone is out of content already :)

The multiplayer looks boring. But I've always disliked Halo multiplayer. If I were to buy it, it'd be for the campaign and forge/custom games. Seeing as how the story was just a set up for halo 6 and they've butchered forge and custom games...it's not for me.
-
I can't compare games that that ones main focus is pvp while the others is pve
-
Honestly I think bungie purposely made the new meta to match halos style, pulse rifles aka BR vs scouts aka DMR. Cause basically everyone has a pulse/BR in destiny, and other all use Midas/DMR. Only the brave few use auto rifles and hand cannons still.

11 Replies343 wouldn't exist without Bungie. Just saying. They were a sister company to Bungie and of they had never left the Halo legacy behind, I doubt 343 would have put out anything decent. I may be wrong though on that though. But we'll never find out so long as they keep milking the master chief cash cow.

Destiny does need to improve their PvP, but you can't really compare it to Halo. Which might as well be a PvP only game. Also, Halo is much more simple than Destiny. Less weapons, no supers, no classes and skills, and no armor with its own perks and stats.
