I got punched in the face by a girl freshman year in PE. I just kinda looked around and wondered if this was what high school was gonna be like the whole time...

No I would not. I have been punched in the face three times. -The first time it was by a kid who was half my size. He was mad at me over a basketball game in which I made him look like an idiot. He actually popped me in the back of my head while I was walking away before punching me in the face and was not going to stop. I put him in a nasty hold and told him I would not let go until he called me daddy (which he did after I applied more pressure). He got suspended I got in no trouble. -Right out of High School I worked in a store. My boss came to work drunk and punched me in the face twice for opening a box wrong. I walked away. He got in no trouble and I knew how to open boxes. Again I was much bigger and could have destroyed this person. -The third time I was horsing around talking trash while playing basketball with an co-worker who has been in and out of jail his entire adult life for assault. I made some smart ass comment and he snapped. He was a tiny little dude but man his hands were fast. I talked him down. - There have been tons of times as an EMT firefighter that I have dealt with unruly intoxicated miscreants who were looking for the closest person to give a two piece. And you know what, they never connected once. I do not condone violence. I am excellent at deescalation of situations and am highly trained in tactics of keeping the peace. I would never put hands on a woman and I am confidant given my past experiences in situations that I never would do so nor would I ever find my self needing to do so.
