OFFICIAL Weapon Parts petition - COZMO Replied!!
[b]Edit:[/b][spoiler] a lot of people feel the economy nerfs are a set up for Tess to sell weapon parts, motes and coins - and this has been in the works for a while. I don't think that's the case. I am not supporting or defending Bungies decision, I am looking at it from the perspective of year 1 and 2... And being a little hopeful.
Hey, day 1 players, remember when armor upgrades cost 25 materials? Remember when weapon upgrades cost 16 parts for a legendary, and 25 for an exotic? Remember farming 25 relic iron on the Buried City for just one upgrade bubble? Bungie seriously revised that. Weapon upgrades now cost just 5 - 10 weapon parts. That's pennies compared to what a full upgrades for a Y1 exotic would cost. HoW DLC saw an incredible boost to our economy by making everything cheap. What if they think it was just [i]too[/i] cheap and going back to fix it?

I hate petitions, but I think we need to make sure this issue is heard.
Most other nerfs or reductions I can [i]kind of[/i] understand.
Now that light level is directly tied to weapon level... This is an issue that cannot be over looked.

Please sign, and [b]get our weapon parts restored back to original drop rates.[/b]

3 RepliesThey shouldn't have increased the rate and then decreased . Many people thought they finally saw that they needed to increase and it was here to stay. Many people including myself turned in parts for reputation as its one of the few ways to actually increase your faction. Also having three characters over 300 requires lots and lots of infusion . Having g different load outs for pvp and over requires infusion. Basically everything requires weapon parts and to show us a decent rate and then take it away is not cool. Armor drops way more than weapons almost 90 percent of the time. So it's a major grind fest that isn't even fun. It's straight up boring and discouraging.

1 ReplyI'l had well over 150 weapon parts on my main character, after the update however I only had 2! So they haven't just dropped the rate we receive weapon parts but they have also [b][u]STOLEN[/u][/b] existing parts from my inventory!

I think there are too many currencies in the game already. Spinmetal, Relic Iron, Helium Filaments, Spirit Bloom, Wormspore, Weapon Parts, exotic shards, motes and glimmer. Nine different currencies needed to upgrade weapons, when all you should need are weapons, weapon parts, glimmer and the gunsmith.

2 RepliesMaybe it's a good thing. Even though it didn't sound like a big reduction, since Tuesday I sit at zero weapons parts. Engrams are back to decrypting half my weapons into motes. Which has made me stop caring to try to level gear much. Which really equals less grind time and definitely less enjoyment. And for such a stupid little thing too. But if that's the intended goal then ok. Message received. I know im already questioning running the spindle mission. Because then I'll have to grind parts for each infusion and for each node. Doesn't seem fun to me. So meh

2 RepliesThis petition will accomplish nothing. Bungie is so fûcking tone deaf, it's almost laughable if it wasn't so God damned sad. I don't want to be a Debbie Downer, but nothing you all say here will affect anything. Bungie is so far up their own ass, they can't see the light of day nor the writing on the wall.

2 RepliesCozmo already said this was s good idea and he would bring it to the debs. But the second they realized how bad we needed weapon parts. They nerfed it. This was no coincidence. They want to force us to grind 24/7 just to keep our heads above water. No more logging on 2-3 times a week of you aren't constantly on grinding you can't get shit.

1 ReplyAgreed, give me more weapon parts. I grind hard on this game, but I can't keep up with weapon parts. Always running out... I like upgrading and trying out new weapons, but I'm going to have to stop doing this. Which is a shame, because arms day feels a lot like Xmas! Does anyone else find they get far more armour engrams than weapon engrams? And it's always my weapon engrams that turn into motes of light etc, never the armour engrams. Annoying!

1 ReplyI agree. I don't mind grinding through strikes so I can dismantle weapons for weapon parts. But I feel like I'm receiving a lot more armor drops than weapons. Then they reduce the amount of weapon parts I receive when I dismantle weapons, it hurts.
