So its cool to make I'm a christian posts but nothing else.
I am in no way disrespecting anyone with religious beliefs. I don't care if you are a Christian or a Pastafarian.
I believe everyone is entitled to their opinion and people should respect others opinions.

23 RepliesWhat kind of god would let a child die of cancer? What kind of god would allow us to treat each other as we do... What god would let us kill each other for hundreds of years when it could present itself and create unity among religions. I'll stick to atheism.
-
Why do people make these posts in the #destiny forum. I have no problem with people talking about what they do and don't believe just do it in off topic
-
1 ReplyI believe in pizza and toilet paper.
-
It's not that I don't believe I just think the whole observer thing is bullshit and someone needs to get down here and fix this shit ASAP

You got triggered by that Christian Guardians post? Really? Nothing better to do with your time?

16 RepliesHere's my take on religion.... Way way back in the day, many many religions were polytheistic and believed in gods who had control over aspects of the natural world...rain, lightning, sun, moon, harvest, war, etc....and as science has said "hey this is why this or that happens" those types of religions are now extinct in societies that have the resources to these scientific findings (referring to third world countries that don't and are still pretty polytheistic). Now we have dwindled down to a few major religions that deal in the one business that will never be explainable by science because it is just a series of random events that fall in the favor of a good outcome over a bad one, miracles. People pray to their gods for healthy recoveries of loved ones or whatever else and in reality it's all just random events that occur biologically that favor one outcome over another. There is no driving force in biology that says to my cells To go over there and fix this or don't do this, it is all probabilities and random events. Now onto the sore subject of evolution. There have been studies that have shown that by placing organic molecules in a "primordial soup" with sunlight radiation that cells will actually grow out of nothing. But when placed in an environment without the radiation and presence of certain environmental factors theorized to be around back then, nothing happened. We have the fossils the create a specific timeline of over like 20-30 species in the evolution of man (Australopithecus genus) that show with each generation more human like features: bipedalism, increasing height, increasing cranial capacity (directly correlated to the intelligence of an organism), human like facial features. There is so much more to say but I will move on to another topic Astronomy. Why would God create so many stars, galaxies, and planets to only care about one? Here's a few facts./theories..when you turn on the radio and turn it to a channel with only static, you are actually hearing the resonance from the birth of the universe. There is thing called cosmic background radiation that exists throughout the entirety of space that can be picked up as a radio signal and is thought to be a resonance of the Big Bang. Another supporting argument is that with our extremely advanced technology we can detect the movement of celestial bodies and what we have seen is that everything is moving away from each other some in the same direction as us, others in opposite. As we know from Newton, an object won't move unless something acts on it and won't stop until something else does. Galaxies and solar systems are constantly moving suggesting that something had to give the push...the Big Bang. Another final thought on this subject is that each year we discover more and more planets that meet the exact specifications of life based off of the relationship between the earth and the sun meaning we aren't the only planet that got lucky to be in the "life creating" conditions. This planet is not as special as we'd all like to think, there are others that we will never ever reach that are just like earth. Now I won't even attempt to defend the Big Bang, it is far to complex of a concept for someone of my intelligence to grasp and comprehend. There are much smarter people who it does work for, but I am not one of them and I would not be fit to defend it as I would only be taking words from their mouths without full understanding. But... I haven't even scratched the surface of what science has discovered. But this is why science will trump religion In the end. Science is hungry to learn, eager to adapt and change, and will never stop searching for answers. Religion on the other hand is timid, horrified of change, and does everything it can to slow progress. It wants to stay in the comforts of its 500 page book and ignore the other millions of pages of scientific evidence that has been collected. There are creationist organizations dedicated to trumping scientists such as the organization who has spent years trying to disprove carbon dating, and even twisted their findings to try and disprove it, but was trumped by scientists after they pointed out a few key facts that they just so happened to forget about in their findings. To each his own and the choice must be yours and yours alone. But do not go blindly into the social construct that religion is because you were raised into it from birth. Educate yourself and think critically and ask questions about the reality we live in. If you find it in your heart that you believe in religion, then go right ahead, but do not ignore what has been presented to you.

Don't ask don't tell.

Thanks for being respectful about it sir ;)

4 RepliesWhile I am an atheist, I still don't think anyone should be making these posts about religion(or lack thereof) on a forum place to discuss a game. I am in no way attempting to insult you, but we should all leave this subject off of a games forums. Have a nice day.

4 RepliesI consider myself non religious. All religion is crap and causes most of the worlds trouble.
-
Yeah let's keep religion where it was born... In your head.
-
24 RepliesQuestion. As an agnostic, is it the only "belief" system that doesn't require faith in your belief? Atheism and theism both require faith that your belief is correct. It's just that atheists look at absence of proof as proof an theists look at absence of disproving evidence as proof.

I wondered how many of us there are ;).

6 RepliesI'm a god, and I find this racist.

I'm Christian too! I'm 12 btw! And no I'm not a squeaker

4 RepliesAre atheist the people who believe in Atheon?
-
I am a Pastafarian Minister. May you all be touched by his noodly appendage.
-
1 ReplyEach to their own. I have been an atheist for as long as I can remember but I have no problem with religious people. My view is that all religious people are 99% atheist as they don't believe in the thousands of other gods worshipped around the world, I just prefer to go all the way :)
-
I think it's odd how people feel the need to spout their beliefs (and non beliefs) on a video game forum. You got my attention though, and I guess that is all you really want.
-
Sigh...why do I have to have religion in my damn games...it has no place in government and it has no place here too...
-
Here's how I see it....we know for a fact we're alive right now yes? Why waste time trying to "please" something into letting you live later?
-
17 RepliesI am an atheist. And what this means is that I respect everyone else's beliefs and their religions. I will not argue with you and will not try to make sense about why I may not believe in your God/gods. I'll treat you just the same as I would treat any person I knew regardless of religion. However, I am highly against anyone from other religions trying to impose on me or convert me. Being an atheist was, and still is, my choice. I will not try to convert you and will not judge you based on your religion. I only judge based on your personality and whether or not you will be a good teammate to raid with. That is all.

2 RepliesI read the Bible. ... didn't like the ending.
