Seriously, I don't know how else to explain and people still go the wrong way.
I know we are a digital world but come on!
Edit: glad I'm not the only one having this issue and some good ideas on how to get around the issue.
Edit 2: you guys are hilarious!
Edit 3: best solution yet, keep middle of map to your left (hope they know left)

1 ReplyKnowing counter clockwise is an actual requirement I give people when I post on LFG
-
I just look at the relic and do a mental pic of a clock then i know the rotation lol a bit hard to grasp when youre at the last phase of oryx xD

3 RepliesWell from a psychological standpoint and looking at the figures of population and digital dexterity, 89% of the world is right handed, and base psychology tell us we pull towards our dominant side. Combined with a lifetime of reading circular clocks in the right direction as opposed to the left. On the contrary, Left handed people are more apt to go left at a fork in a road naturally rather than make a conscious decision to do so, we are also more comprehensive of counter/anti-clockwise progression. I mean, from a psychological standpoint... It makes the puzzle that much harder for about 90% of the world so yea... Counter-clockwise.

1 ReplyIt's not hard. But how often do ppl deal with a counter clockwise situation
-
Most modern clocks have the numbers 1 through 12 printed at equally spaced intervals around the periphery of the face with the 12 at the top, indicating the hour, and on many models, sixty dots or lines evenly spaced in a ring around the outside of the dial, indicating minutes and seconds. The time is read by observing the placement of several "hands" which emanate from the centre of the dial: A short thick "hour" hand; A long, thinner "minute" hand; On some models, a very thin "second" hand All the hands continuously rotate around the dial in a 'clockwise' direction – in the direction of increasing numbers. "Anti-Clockwise/Counter Clockwise" is the reverse, In the direction of decreasing numbers. Yes I despair also at people's inability to understand this basic concept.

Easy solved lay on floor look up to TV then it's clockwise I O-/--I

You just need a competent group to raid with. I've been raiding with the same couple groups and that makes the raid a breeze. I have a hard time starting with all new people cause it's no where near as coordinated and there's always the one guy who cant jump or doesn't know left to right.

Edited by Shad2k8: 10/12/2015 11:01:22 AMWhen you look at the relic(the dot) from the middle it's always the left one that you start from ... people seem to get it faster like this ... and always turn left when you are the relic guy ...
-
4 RepliesJust stop doing the raids with spastics. Plus I prefer anti-clockwise but I imagine Americans prefer counter.
-
1 ReplyWhat is counter clockwise? Is that some sort of exotic?
-
1 ReplyEdited by YourMumWasFuN: 10/12/2015 10:56:39 AMToo much American inbreeding in the past
-
1 ReplyIf your team is having problems, just assign platforms to people and call out the name when they should get up. Be a leader who solves problems. The raid is a breeze.
-
This irritates me as well. You people remember the old clocks with the 3 hands moving? The ones that don't have a string of numbers? Do you?
-
Because people are really dumb.
-
Lol this!!!!
-
Because it's counter productive.
-
2 RepliesDigital clocks. Nuff said.
-
In gonna invent a destiny app that describes counter clockwise so the new techie world can be taught something that the Mayans comprehended. With that being said the few times I've tried the raid we just name out the order the first few times and skip archaic words like "counterclockwise".
-
That's only the first issue.. the you have to deal with these people not making the jumps.
-
People just dont listen -_-
-
4 RepliesI've heard the brits call it anti - clockwise. Maybe that's the communication issue.
-
2 RepliesOh come on everything is digital now, no such thing as clockwise or even counter clockwise. Join the 21st century damn cavemen!!!
-
Haha yeah I see that a lot. Also people slamming the wrong wizard all the time.
-
We assign plate numbers instead of giving a specific plate. Plate 2 is always diagonal of the relic, plate 3 diagonal of oryx's slam. This way at least only the person on plate 1 needs to know counter clockwise.
-
I saw a great oryx how to video that explains it well. it's like a "C" formation, helped me not mess up a lot
-
It's easy to explain "If you're standing in the center, looking at the pillars, its left each time"
