  • No but it shows experience.

  • No but it tells someone how experienced someone is in the game.

  • To a point. Most of it doesn't matter but when you get to the PvP part of it then it does a little but it's not the greatest way to see the skill level of someone through grimoire

  • It determines how much you play mostly. Or search for ghosts.

I still don't have all the ghosts and I've been on since beta... You can say someone with higher glimmer has experienced more and played a lot therefore they should be better than the casual player. But like I said I have quite a few ghosts to find. I play with someone whose really good and has high glimmer but is a complete scrub at crucible... I destroy him in all glimmer categories except ghost. Replace glimmer with grimore

    • No. It merely represents what you have found within the game. Its basically little trophies you collect.

    • I have 3215 score but a 295 light. How does this compare? I think the old theory of score being nothing but intentional grinding (hydras, ghost locations etc and being carried) is true.

      • It measures how much you've played imo

        • No. It's experience. Stats determine skill. Grimoire is a collection of points gained via experiencing all the game has to offer. Have they explored? Have they completed the storylines? Have they completed the Raids?

        • Someone can easily use the likes of YouTube to gather all ghosts and just grind certain spots to make x amount of kills to achieve certain grimoire points. IMO grimoire doesn't relate to skill

I'm at 4630, I don't necessarily look into anyone else's Grimoire though.. It's kind of just an extra Carrot-On-A-Stick for me to chase.

          • Not skill, experience with the game.

          • It means you've played a lot. You can suck and still play more than anybody else.

          • I think yes and no. If someone has a high grimoire it can be assumed they have lots of experience and therefore good amounts of skill. Of course there would be exceptions but still. As for low grimoire it doesn't necessarily point towards someone being bad. There are plenty of individuals with low grimoire but are very skilled in the game.

          • To me the more grimoire you have, the more you most likely know about the game.

          • It determines your experience with the game, not skill in the game

          • Does not determine skill but it's an indicator of Experience

          • Yes, in a few cases. The raids for instance, and their bosses. Or the Lighthouse. You need skill in order to get them.

Skill level? No, absolutely not. Experience? To an extent, depends on where your grim score comes from. edit: that experience can also be from getting carried, meaning you can still suck ass with ~4500 grim score

            • Not directly. Players with low grimoire may just have less motivation to grind activities, while still being experienced. High grimoire does usually indicate time spent in game, and time spent in game usually brings experience.

            • Only the rumble grimoire. I've been playing a year and have a whopping 9 wins in that bullet cloud of a playlist.

            • If I see someone with a higher grimore, I assume they've been at the game for a while. Seeing a lower G, I assume you're a newer player. Does it mean someone with a lower score has less skill? No I don't think so. Just means they haven't been at the game as long.
