I'm going to laugh so hard when Hammer of Sol gets its well-deserved nerf and all the Titans start crying again.
That super is way out of line with the others. Though to be fair, Stormcaller is a tad bit over the top, too. I'm just so excited for the next patch/update.
Let the Titan tears flow.
Edit: Pre-TTK, I was on Xbox 360 since October 2014. Maxed subclasses for all three classes, each character at 33 (too cheap to buy the DLCs). Grimoire upwards of 3000, and a few hundred hours in Crucible.
Edit 2: I've reconsidered my point on Stormcaller. At least they're kinda squishy. Sorry, Warlocks.
Edit 3: I personally think the following issues are what individually make Sunbreaker OP:
15 second super timer
Abnormal number of hammers available to throw
Blast radius of hammers
Armor increase for duration of super
I personally think the best way to put HoS in line with the other supers would be to set a limit to the amount of hammers that can be thrown (maybe 6?) and decrease the blast radius of said hammers. That's it. If Bungie makes it to where I can just run away without being killed by a hammer exploding five feet away, I will be fine with even the armor boost.

1 ReplyEdited by iCu-RiddY: 10/6/2015 2:05:49 AMWhen they do nerf HoS it won't matter because I -blam!- kids like you all year long with sub par supers. It won't affect me in the slightest.

2 Replies>Be me >Hunter since beta >Disagree with nerf and say it's fine the way it is >Made a Titan last week >Used sun breaker in pvp >Blasting noobs to the next dimension >Realize it's way to op >Nerf armor >Nothing else

Have you considered shooting at the Titans? I've noticed that crying for a nerf doesn't seem to kill them
-
3 RepliesCan't wait until ops nerfed

2 RepliesEdited by BArnez44: 10/6/2015 2:05:33 AMAnother complaining hunter whining about not having the best pvp class no more

Tears collected.
-
2 RepliesEven IF it gets nerfed, you peaple act like your aim is 100% godlike and will hit headshots before a hammer is thrown your way. When you all still fail at trying to stop a super without a super you all will cry about something else.
-
Have you even played SB? Stop crying.

1 ReplyOriginally posted by mongrelsagdow14:
Honestly got tired of the complaint threads so I decided to take 2 friends into rumble to test. I first tested the defense both with max armor and with the extra armor you can get with a certain chest piece when using a solar based subclass. results: I had 2 snipers used. stillpeircer and black spindle. still has impact of 31 which covers 1000 yard stare and LDR. black spindle has 37 which covers black hammer and eferdeets spear. the 004 sniper was not used but has an impact of 34. snipers were used at point blank so no damage drop off was present. With max armor the 31 impact snipers leave me with a tiny sliver of health. which means the 34 impact sniper and 37 impact snipers will one shot me. With additional armor the 37 sniper one shot me. which means 3 snipers can currently one shot headshot the sunbreaker when they have the most armor possible. the 34 might be able to do it. and any sniper with a damage proc including the 31 snipers will be able to one shot. Next I tested golden gun. The result was the same both times. Point blank a golden gun will not one shot the sunbreaker. but they both leave you with a sliver of health. so if the sunbreaker has literally taken any damage at all and gets hit by golden gun they will die. It's important to note that you have to fully spec into armor in order to live from golden gun. If you don't take max armor golden gun will one shot you. Lastly I tested the damage of the hammer on direct impacts. To confirm my idea that it has the same damage model of arc blade swipes. When running max armor on blade dancer with the extra armor you take 2 hammers to kill. you're left with half of your red health bar. then I tested it against a person with max armor on storm trance but no extra armor and got the same result. to me this means it's got the same damage of the arc blade melee. If hammer of sol does any extra damage at all its so small that it's not going to matter in 90% of situations. Conclusion: the sunbreaker mid super naturally has a slight armor advantage. and it's honestly so slight it doesn't matter in my opinion. you have potentially 4 snipers with out any special perk roll that can one shot head shot. and if you are using golden gun all you have to do is hit them with anything like a nade or knife and then golden gun and they are dead. I understand people don't like that the sunbreaker can even survive it at all. However they are the tank class and all titan sub classes can tank a golden gun. so it's consistent. and hammer of sol has average damage. needing 2 hammers to kill a majority of people mid super. of course if the target has low armor it's a one hit. But everyone is always telling me max armor is the way to go in crucible. so if you aren't running it you willingly accept the concequences. end of story. I didn't test all sub classes on damage with the hammer because the 2 I did test with different situations yielded the same results. Though if someone proves me wrong with footage and explains the situation i'll retract my statement. I also didn't test sword swings or rockets. Simply because anyone mid super (bar golden gun and radiance with no radiant skin) can tank 2 sword swings and if any of the subclasses (bar the same 2) spec for max armor can survive a rocket. simply put it's not a new thing. armor always protected you from rockets and now from 2 burst deaths. and the swords follow the same damage model as arc blade does. Hopefully this thread gets around and people stop complaining about how tanky they are or how stupid strong hammer damage is. EDIT: I completely forgot to mention the shotgun testing done. I managed to survive a conspiracy D headshot at point blank when I had the max armor+ the additional armor from the chest piece. with out the additional armor from the chest piece I die. So High impact shotguns will one shot sunbreakers if they are headshots 90% of the time.

3 RepliesWoah woah woah, slow down there, tiger. The blast radius is fine.
-
Wow would you look at that another Hunter crying on forums because he gets he ass kicked by hammer of sol because it's the only super he can't one shot with his golden gun :)
-
I main a Sunbreakers and have played some PvP as well. But as far as I've noticed so far I get frustrated when any new super kills me. It's because we're not used to it yet. But on another note, the HoS does need to be put on track with other supers as far as damage reduction. But at the same time you can't take away the Titan's first PvP oriented super.
-
2 RepliesAnother butthurt Hunter.... A whole year I had to put up with golden gun and nova bombs nice to get some payback.....
-
2 RepliesHUNTER BE QUITE
-
2 RepliesIf the hammers didnt fly so damn fast and DIDNT have tracking it wouldnt be a problem But since you can throw aimbot nova bomb hammers at people that travel the speed of light its kind of annoying
-
1 ReplyI hope they dont nerf it too hard. Hunters who had nothing to do with it will take blame
-
2 RepliesEdited by Hetzer150: 10/6/2015 1:41:54 AMI think they should either A. Increase GG damage. B. increase RoF of GG. C. Increase aim assist on GG.

4 RepliesIts very simple tbh. Just remove supers from pvp... Thats it. Only usable in mayhem. No kiddies whinning anylonger.

2 RepliesDoes hos kill hos with one hammer?

1 ReplyHow cute, hunters finally get their support class which in my opinion is better than the Warlock's and probably on par if not better than the Titan's and here they are whining about how Titan's supers are OP, NERF NERF NERF. I have been a Titan main since alpha. Fell in love with the design since it had been on a poster in game stores. Yeah. It's about damn time we got a worth while PvP super. I'm sorry that you are suffering with all the bandwagon Titans. It will end eventually
-
Awe another but hurt scrub sorry mate enjoy your salty tears
-
4 RepliesI agree but only partially. Titans do have too many hammers, golden gun gets 3 shots that are linear. Titans get as many hammers as they can throw within the time of their super as well as a buff to make them do more damage... I'm not saying to nerf or buff anything I'm just recognizing that titans get more flexibility and opportunities with their super than a hunter does with golden gun. Just as well Nightstalker is pretty great so yeah.
-
Another scrub complaining. Someone summon Butthurt
-
I seriously do not understand the hate on hos. I main a warlock and I've killed many Titans using hos.
-
I see them tears rollin ;-(
-
I main a hunter, and I don't care about the Titans "op" hammers, it is good that they are op because in pve it really helps if they are op, and o don't know why some other hunters are whining because the nightstalker is awesome! (And op in its own way)
nightstalker is just as good as hammer and lightning
