Can we please stop getting Sword Hilt kills in Control?

Someone tried that on me yesterday and I meleed him twice before he could kill me.

3 RepliesI once caught a sunbreaker in HoS napping and proceeded to double smack him with the hilt. Most satisfying pvp kill in destiny I think I've ever gotten.

I was terrified of this part of the quest. I never could get Thorn and was thinking, seriously? With a sword hilt!?!? This is going to be horrible. The funny thing is it took me 3 matches. I did control. It was so stupid and funny. I got more consistent kills using a sword hilt than I could trying to play legitimately.

3 RepliesHad to boost for all of my swords just about. Only one I didn't was the last one. Honestly the problem is they are weak in the crucible until they become their exotic counterparts.

12 RepliesUse the hilt, go to rumble. Soon, the entire lobby will start swinging their hilts. Except for the one guy who's still blinking and shotgunning as if everyone is still a major threat (usually a Hunter)

If people just stopped killing those who are obviously doing the quest and let them have a few kills they will be out of the way asap. I struggled for a few matches to get 1-2 kills until 2 buddies jumped in and helped plus some helpful random in the matches noticed and would just run upto you and let you kill them. Be mad at Bungie not the poor guy forced to run around with 1/10th his weapon trying to get 2 hits on people before they shoot him whole basically unarmed

I'm still not sure why they put a crucible part to the sword quest, when swords are clearly suited to PvE

I loved hiding around corners as a bladedancer. So many sword hilt kills. Lol.

No. Being a nightstalker + sword hilt = one shot kill on a target with a bit of health gone.

My guess is it won't end until everyone has all three exotic swords. Although, I didn't know this was a thing when working on my Arc Bolt. I doubt I'll do this when I go for the other two, it's kinda lame to me.
