I don't quite understand what you are trying to say. I'm a UK consumer, who spent under an hour emailing the Citizen's advice bureau to hear what they thought of this. I tried contacting Microsoft for a refund, and couldn't get one. I posted the reply that I got from the CAB here so that other UK consumers didn't have to spend the time emailing the CAB.

You don't need to think about something like this in more simplistic terms then what you are trying to convey. What you need to do? Is realize that ignorance in playing around with CAB or BBB here in the U.S. and posting them online shows two things: #1. Insecurity in holding yourself, just as much as others, to a higher standard. #2. Backlash in retaining any sort of peer status to start a conversation. The conversation is often what people get confused on because they bluntly believe the conversation is never wrong. My basic year of psychology in college years ago taught me otherwise. You don't invoke emotions in people which point to negative consequences on the horizon and that? Is a level of intelligence I've seen multiple European friends break time and again. I often took time to look beyond the basic psychological elements to identify that people are simply too caught up in controlling and manipulating others without even realizing the societal upbringing ramifications which occur as a result.
I tried contacting Microsoft for a refund, and couldn't get one.
Kiddo. Go play Destiny or rather don't if you don't enjoy it. You lost the peer status the moment you chose to post this because now I cannot definitively see you for anything of who you are. You crossed the threshold and that? Carries consequences. Fortunately, this carries very little to no consequences which are easily forgotten in a week so it's a mute point.
I posted the reply that I got from the CAB here so that other UK consumers didn't have to spend the time emailing the CAB.
Sure kiddo. Whatever you want to say to convince yourself of. Here's the lesson I'll leave you with: Your actions? Point to inconsistencies. It's basic human nature. This is why we reinvent ourselves to see the cause and effect flaws we don't. This is universally sound and proven to exist in every country around the globe. Simply stop and think, "What could people take from this that I don't intend for them to take?" and you'll often find? That the integrity you see in your every day life both in the UK, and Asia, and Australia, and North America and South America? Is never on par with what it needs to be to guarantee people remain both informed and happy about the decision. Right now this is a witch hunt simply because of a botched attempt to be intelligent.

Listen up Kiddo. He sought a refund through Microsoft and mailed the CAB on something he considered wrong and inappropriate business practice. That's it. He shared the response so others would know what to expect. Honestly Kiddo, when companies start adopting practices such as this(locking content that used to be available behind a dlc purchase) action needs to be taken or other companies will adopt the same practices. Kiddos like you don't seem to understand that action needs to be taken. People like the OP don't really care what Kiddos like you have to say, they just know something needs to be done to prevent more robbery on this level.
Listen up Kiddo.
Lol. I'm no kiddo. Been around too long, but thanks for the compliment! Taking a few years off is never a complaint of mine.
He sought a refund through Microsoft and mailed the CAB on something he considered wrong and inappropriate business practice. That's it.
And here is what I was talking about. So his actions in trying to get a refund or mailing the CAB or BBB or whoever is now apparently wrong? Why is that wrong kiddo? Or did I purposely create a post about highlighting that on a video game forum? Opps. I guess that single detail escaped you since I immediately bypassed that and told the OP to grow up a little before they made another mistake which cost them social status with those who actually look to resolve the situation. Not gloat about it in a post and claim to be otherwise. Results are results and this thread? Is nothing but a flame thread of either "I agree" or "burn the heretic" figuratively speaking. Prove I'm wrong.
He shared the response so others would know what to expect.
Like I already stated, good for starting another conversation on top of a dozen different conversations already on this subject. The consequence though? Is the loss of peer status because the only way to get everyone on the same page? Is not to post about it, but rather make a simple, well explained post, which can't be taken negatively. Simple enough title: "Dislike the TTK? Here's how to contact CAB." "Hello fellow users, while I don't want to start another flame thread, I would like to increase the awareness for users to take action if they paid for TTK and are not satisfied for one reason or another. Here is what to do if you by chance fall into that category: blah, blah, blah." Seems pretty simple. Oh. But apparently that's asking too much. To have a litttttttttttle class about the situation. Opinions are fine, emotions can be great sources for motivation and ultimately non-laziness. But where that DELICATE line is broken is when you don't combine that with actual experience to get to the resolution easily and without conflict. College? University? That helps teach people to not be so prone to listening to opinion blogs and entertainment based twists which otherwise prevent you from understanding the situation and as a TYPICAL result? Get upset and angry over a VIDEO GAME. I take it you like being upset and angry all the time? As if that ever leads to anything positive in 2015?
Honestly Kiddo, when companies start adopting practices such as this(locking content that used to be available behind a dlc purchase) action needs to be taken or other companies will adopt the same practices.
Kiddo. The design process for building said environments when you have already betrayed that fatal knowledge block that companies do what makes them profit and enjoyment. Ok? That means one, two, ten people at best make decisions. Others? Have a WIDE variety of inputs, but typically? It's about the best ideas and the best concepts which make the cut after a LONG deliberation process. You want to make them sound like blood sucking leaches? You go right ahead. I'm not going to belittle an education I paid for out of my own pocket built on established practice you don't even know about. People are people. Get that through your head. Now. Not tomorrow. Not one hour from now. Now. They follow the SAME processes, the SAME outcomes, the SAME builds. It's ALLLLLL recycled from some other source. You think this will change things and force their hand? Kiddo. You must be in the UK where that works on the mediocre at best politicians you have over there. You motivate change by putting up the facts because here? In the U.S.? There is 318 million people being impacted by said decision. Not lower double digit millions like most of the countries in the UK if they even meet 10 mil to start.
Kiddos like you don't seem to understand that action needs to be taken.
Kiddo. I'm so far past the idea of that accusation I'm laughing that I predicted your response on a whim. Action? Does not mean results. Results? Is only found when you have the maturity to take ALL looks at a situation and react calmly and with established practice which works with PEOPLE in Bungie AND in the community. You've already limited your focus to "Us versus Them". How can you find the solution when you only understand 50% of the issue? Or maybe you want to become a politician. You're certainly sounding like one right now because of your lack of experience.
People like the OP don't really care what Kiddos like you have to say
And that is fine. You know why? Because the consequences of a video game doesn't require a degree to have fun. It doesn't require integrity to understand the system at play here and it doesn't require anything technically. You know why that is right? Because as you learn from college? Most of history is about those who hold those entitlements close to heart as a moral code to live by. We don't want those who aren't willing to meet such a commitment in the fold. You're the follower and underachiever who gets a tax refund at the end of the year. I make enough money that I still have to support your lifestyle because I care enough to figure out a solution which works everywhere and not just myself or my follower base. Good try though kiddo. History is built by those who care enough to go that far. You just talked yourself RIGHT out of it in a single quoted sentence. Go get some pride in yourself before you come back and respond. And just so you are aware? Human beings live to be 100 years old typically. In that time frame? You have to figure out how to make it work for yourself. The difference? Is how can history be so straight forward by activism of the human mind that I see the commonality between us, I acknowledge that you should be part of the conversation, but I also have to acknowledge that your ideas lack vision, understanding, experience, and a list as long as my education degree field and yet you don't see those common elements? You know that is? I'll give you a clue: It's got nothing to do with education. It's about pride and how much bigger mine apparently is then your own because I'm not going to push my foundation on you. No. I'll put it out there for you to see it, know that it's more concrete solid then yours, and I'll let you determine where you seem to have not learned the lessons I already know. You think about that kiddo. Because at the end of the game? The king and pawn go back into the same box.
