I got my first antiquated rune and I don't want to waste it by failing to kill the boss. Bungie says Tier 3 CoO bosses are "raid level"; does that mean they require coordinated teams with precise strategies? Or can I just hang around the court until a few randoms show up and have a decent chance? I'm 290 light btw, if that matters.

Too easy

Takes about 30-ish seconds to finish with 1 sword lol

3 RepliesDid it with 5 people on our second try. Me and my gf play in the same room and there were 3 randoms. Once they realized it was mini Crota, it wasn't too hard. Although because the randoms were considerably under level it was down to the wire. I killed him with under 5 seconds left on the timer.

It shows who hasn't done the crota raid
-
Beat it 1st try, 3 of us but we were all 294+ light
-
Me and my buddy two manned mini Crota
-
2 RepliesThis week's isn't that hard if retard randoms don't take the sword.
-
This week is more difficult because its basically the crota fight, so if randoms don't coordinate well to take down the shield it doesn't work. Last weeks was easy.
-
Get 3 people and it's stupidly easy
-
Get 2 fire teams of 3 going and it almost feels like you CANT fail it
-
With a good team? Pretty simple. It's like a baby Crota fight.
-
1 ReplyTier 3 this week is a mini crota. So yes, you do need a little bit of communication and a team of 4 with no communication probably isn't gonna get it done. Might as well try it though, if you lose a tier 3 rune you get it back in your inventory.
-
Not at all. I did it with 3 other randoms and no communication
-
You don't lose the rune if you fail
-
It's not to bad, most have done crota if not it's prompts you what to do. I've done it 3 times with just random people with light level frpm 260 to 300. As long as you are quick to get shield down and hit him a few times it's fine and rather enjoyable encounter that let's you reminisce about poor crota
-
I one sworded this Weeks tier 3 so it's really not that hard. It only goes bad when you have players that have never fought or have never seen anyone fight crota and they try to take the sword
-
Depends on light level I guess. I found it easier than some tier 2's. But then the only time I've done tier 3's is when there's 5 or 6 people there. It was super easy.
-
If you don't complete the tier 3 you can get it back. It's not hard depending if you have actual good players and you'll only need a few. This weeks boss is a crota fanatic. Literally crota with the swordbearer and two wizards next to him.
-
You will be fine with a few other players.
