So, how hard is Tier 3 Court of Oryx actually?
I got my first antiquated rune and I don't want to waste it by failing to kill the boss. Bungie says Tier 3 CoO bosses are "raid level"; does that mean they require coordinated teams with precise strategies? Or can I just hang around the court until a few randoms show up and have a decent chance? I'm 290 light btw, if that matters.

Easy as pie. Kill wizards, kill sword dude, take shields down 2 times, rinse and repeat

It's quite easy if you've got people who know how to do it, unfortunately a couple of runs this week were ruined by a few casuals that didn't have a clue and obviously didn't know how to do crota. But after a few attempts from myself and a few friends, they quickly learned our strat and it was a breeze after.

If the randoms know what they're doing, or even have an idea, you'll be fine. Kill adds, kill swordbearer, pick up sword, have other people shoot fanatic until he falls, slam slam slam, repeat. That's for this week, anyway.

3 290+ should clear it no problem this week. Last week was much easier with 4+ guardians for DPS but still do able with just 3.

It's extremely easy with 4+ people. 3 people, no problem at all. I two manned it earlier with a random & no communication. It's just a mini version of Crota.

If you fail you dont lose the rune. I did 3 or 4 tier 3s today back to back. Pretty easy with a non retarded team. The exotic sniper black spindle against the wizardsnd a good rocket for thalnok and its cake. We beat him with just one sword almost every time and in less than a minute

Yeah remember the crota fight mechanic from the raid? That's it.

Last week was a giant ogre, couldnt damage him til the wizards were dead. This week is crota basically. Swordbearer drops sword, down crota and smack him a couple times. Yes they are hard but with 4 people at 290 and above its no prob

It's pretty easy. It's literally crota again except on an extremely close area.he does move occasionally. But just have a team take adds out, shield down, 1 -2 sword bearers, and you're done.

It's Crota. I did it several times with some randoms. Saw boss, saw swordbearer, instantly knew what was up

Not very hard. Clearable with three guardians. Light level 290 and up should have no problem.

If you fail, you keep the rune, you only lose it if you win

I managed to 1 sword kill Thalnok, but only once :( (that includes his shield coming back up and being downed again) Great little fight, if you can kill him, you can kill Crota....Again.

I did this with a bunch of fandoms. Took us 1 minute to figure it out. This is where you should go to swordbearer. I had not been swordbearer before today, but I learned the timing of it in tier 3.

Pretty hard, but when I played, the ransoms happened to be knowledgable of Crota's End, so it wasn't hard.
