HOW TO USE THREE OF COINS....fastest engrams
Lets keep this on top so people know...
There seems to be alot of confusion about them..heres what im doing, its got me 5 exotic engrams and ive only used around 20-25 coins...
the scorge of winter mission on lowest difficulty, on venus, run to the boss at the end.
1 - use 1 coin
2- get his health low
3 - rocket suicde next to him (itll kill both of you)
4 - rinse and repeat
Edit 1 .. just got a year 2 monte carlo, so you can get yr 2 exotics from a yr 1 ultra :) ... happy hunting guardians

Edit 4.. as of 210 est.. it is still working.
Edit 5.. it wont drop everytime u kill the boss, it might take up to 15 or even 20 tries sometimes, and other time it could only take a few... just be patient

2 RepliesApparently people have been doing it wrong anyway. Get to the area. Get boss low. Pop a coin or two. Kill. Restart. Get boss low. KILL. Don't pop another coin. It starts stacking after the first time you killed him. Simple version. Area --> boss low --> coin --> kill --> restart and kill boss + you --> restart --> boss low --> coin (maybe) --> kill.

*sigh* as much as I hate using exploits, and wanting to just do it the right way, like strikes and missions. I spent about 10 coins last night trying to do it the right way and I got nothing. I also hate the idea of killing myself repeatedly for some reason. But I may just suck it up and use this, because I myself feel cheated. :(

I bought 20. Used 4. Each in a Heroic. Got an exotic from the final boss 3 times. So far so good.

Two hours and I have half the exotics x3, you sir or whoever found this are a genius or ruined the game for me, lol. RNG has been my enemy since the beta and I finally got a Hawkmoon...amongst a ton of other great stuff. So stoked tonight!

I've gotten 10 exotic engrams doing this with Eye of the Gatelord and with Scouge of Winter. Every single one has been either Head or Arm engram and I'm getting a lot of duplicates.

3 RepliesI did the Eye of Gatelord farm. Kill him and grab exotic engram if he drops it, immediately go into orbit (you have to do this quickly or you have to restart mission). Reload checkpoint, use coin, rinse, repeat. Got two Telestos, Fourth Horsman, year 2 Invective, Immolation Fist, Sealed Ahamkara Grasps, 2 year 2 Crest of Alpha Lupis and a year 2 Insurmountable Skullfort. Exotic engram drops every 5 to 9 coins used on average.

1 ReplyUse your Super on the boss to further increase your chances. (No proven) but it's worked the last couple times for me already!

Use the eye of a gatelord story mission, kill him if nothing drops go to orbit before the mission ends countdown starts , rinse and repeat 😉

I got 2 Monte carlos, 2 last words, a hawkmoon, a crest of Alpha Lupi (titan) 2 celestial nighthawks, and sealed Ahamkara grasps. I can't wait to level the Monte Carlo and Ahamkara Grasps and use them together!
