It's not assumptions. People read the pre-sale stuff and hoped that the weapons would be decent and of a level that was, at least, slightly above the highest year ones. After all, logically it made little sense for them to be of lower value as Bungie would have expected these little bonuses to be an added incentive to buy TTK and so people expected stuff that gave them a decent foothold in year two. (No idea why people thought they would be legendaries as nothing Bungie showed hinted at that) So people enter their redeem codes and either look blankly around for their weapon packs or trot along to the Vanguard to see weapons there that they have to pay for. And that confuses as well. Whilst Bungie didn't say they were free in game, they didn't say you had to pay for them either. And people aren't going to pay for weapons which they aren't entirely sure are the right weapons and which, if they are, have little to no value to the player. At best Bungie were misleading. If you had redeemed the code and then got a message saying something like "Your weapons are now available [b]for purchase[/b] from the ..." It would have been clear that yes those were the weapons and yes, you had to pay for them. Unfortunately I just think Bungie could have been clearer on exactly what this pre order "bonus" entailed.

Because everybody needs something to complain about, and since this dlc is actually good for once, that's the fallback.

I was under the impression it was a pack of legendary surros weapons I thought I saw a video on YouTube where they said at the E3 discussion the surros weapon pack was all legendary weapons with legendary shader and emblem. .... .[spoiler]or so i thought lol [/spoiler]

I can at least see where the complainers are coming from. A pre-order bonus should at least be able to do endgame content. Those weapons weren't even good for starting off The Taken King.

Do you like it when politicians make promises and then renege on thise promises? Probably not but I could fling your meaningless diatribe right back at you. If you ordered a pizza that came with a free bottle of coke if ordered online and when you recieved the pizza there was no coke, would you just shrug and say oh well. What I cant understand is people that dont understand the value of a promise or a deal done and try and belittle others when they dont like feeling ripped off. Complacency is a disease and from the substance of your post sadly you have the terminal variety.

And what we seen at e3 and the exhibition match was the exact same suros weapons being used in legendary form

They're angry because Bungie managed to fool them so easily. "Pre-order our game! You'll get stuff!"

Other games it's useful guns, skins you'll most likely want to use, pre-order only characters or skins. They heavily advertise it to get people to pre-order and many of those would not have done so with out it. This Suros pack is 3 weapons you will not want to use ever. Why? Because your current weapons are 170 and these weapons are 160 green junk you have spend glimmer on and you'll find better green weapons than that just in the first mission alone. Bungie knew it was junk from the beginning, and they idiotically advertised it like you were getting something special. It's a pre-order incentive they heavily advertised and made it look great, and it's green weapon junk you'll never want to use. Other games. Oh yeah. Awesome stuff just like how they advertised it. This one is a big joke. Never should have been advertised, seems more like a trick on Bungie's part

Because they were obsolete before they ever even came out. I don't think anyone expected them to be exotics, or anything like that, but we certainly expected them to be useful weapons.
