"Strange." Are the ships that were scavenging in sight? Would I be able to tell if they are pirates?

Surprisingly, they aren't pirates. Two civilian banged up ships are doing a very ineffective job at gathering supplies. You're guessing they're poor people hired to do jobs with inadequate equipment. They're gathering it with their own suits, not using any tools from mining ships. Looks like the rusty ships are just a box with a warp drive. Next to them however, is a modified sleek black destroyer that you nearly didn't pick up, keeping them in line. Were they slaves? Or indentured servants.

I send a signal to the sleek black ship, but I hide its origin. *Greetings. This is Xaronos, (my street name) I would like to inquire what you are doing and if there may be any assistance you require, especially if its 'illegitimate,' if you catch my drift*

There is no response. The ship slowly turns towards you....And starts moving forward.

"Property damage will not be tolerated. We will find you. And you will die for your crimes. And we'll rob everything you have. Just a side note. Dank stormers out." The Destroyer boosts towards you.

I left already, my speed is better than theirs. What happened to their small ships, you said they were pretty much weak small junkers.

Not yet. They're giving chase. Do you want to warp? (read the op about warping)

Because of my increased speed, I fly as far as possible and get out of sight and then warp

Warping will take a while. The Destroyer closes in, and starts to scan you (long distance). You're getting they will try to obtain your ship ID to find you.

I jam their signal, and if they break through they will get a false ID. [spoiler]I'm a smuggler... If I don't have this on my ship then wtf do I have? A cookie?[/spoiler]

Haha lol. "We got you now!" The captain says. Just before you warp out. Days later, you find out that three ships were captured, from the Dank storm pirate league. Apparently they were trying to find a light cruiser, but ended up firing at a large dreadnought in the Krasnyy system, a Russian controlled area.
