Lol first of all little desticles, that is one game that ACTUALLY requires skill. I'm so glad there's never been a buff OR nerf to any of the weapons because they don't listen to crybabies who complain cause they can't get kills and get wallbounced. You children (adults with no life) ask for the dumbest buffs & nerfs I've ever seen in my whole life. You guys basically made the game worse by all your complaining. This game requires no skill honestly.. if you think trials is "competitive" you don't know what competitive means and I'm being honest.
Gears of war will ALWAYS be a better franchise, we don't have a community from call of duty cause most people that play cod are little kids that aren't good enough for gears. And for you playstation users, don't even talk shit about gears you guys are considered casuals to us Xbox players. You don't know what skill is.
To the kid Rooster 2011, He's a playstation casual that has currently came out of the closet. So cheers to him!
Edit : this is not bait, I am just stating facts. LET US NOT FORGET. Xbox even put it on the cover of the game "best Xbox game ever made" don't believe me? Go look yourself.
Ninja Edit
Hello OP (or anyone who has decided to open the spoiler and read all of this).
I'm one of the Bungie.Net Ninjas. We may have met before, we may have interacted, you might have heard of us, or you may have no clue as to who we are and what we do. Well, this little note is to explain some of the things we do. One of the major roles we play is to handle the reports that come in whenever a member clicks on the "Report" button, to let us know that there is a post, a topic or a user that either doesn't understand or isn't following the rules that we all agreed to follow when we joined. But that's not the Ninja function that brought on this note.
The reason I am writing this is because I have retagged your thread. Bungie.Net uses hashtags to designate their major forums and to help keep things organized. Your OP (original post) was opened, created or given a hashtag that well, wasn't the best choice. It could have been that you were browsing through the various forum/tags that are available on the site or app, and clicked on "New Topic" while in a forum that didn't "match up" with the subject matter of your OP. Or, you may have thought "this belongs here", when unfortunately, it doesn't.
That's another role of the Bungie.Net Ninjas. We not only try to keep things fun, pleasant and welcoming here by removing rule-breakers, but we also want EVERY good topic to have the best chance to survive, thrive, find the right audience, and get lots of on-topic replies. And so, I have retagged your topic to move it to the forum where it has the best chance of doing that.
I give you my word that I have not altered a single letter or character of your Original Post, just placed this message below it and set the tag to better describe your topic. You may notice that you are unable to edit this post anymore. That is a part of the system, and I apologize for any inconvenience that it may have caused. I've not replied or commented on your OP, since this message would most likely be "off-topic" to your thread and when members see a Ninja or Mentor (who are volunteers from the community) or even a Bungie employee post, they tend to go a little crazy and the disruption to the thread becomes a distraction. I don't want that to happen to your thread. I want it to be in the BEST place possible, to be seen by the largest audience who is looking for this sort of topic, I want it to take root, get replies, grow strong and make these forums a better place.
If you have any questions, you should feel free to PM me. My name is now in the upper right corner of your OP where it says "edited by".
Thanks for your patience, thanks for being a part of this community, thanks for taking the time to read all of this (I hid it in a spoiler so that anyone who clicked couldn't complain about "too long, didn't read"), and thank you in advance for creating your future topics with the forum/tag location in mind.

13 RepliesGeneric 3rd person shooter. *Yawn*

Played lots of gow 2 and 3, now the game doesn't hold my interest

Been a fan since 07, the first GoW was the third 360 game I ever owned. Love the franchise (even Judgment, despite its slight departure from the traditional gameplay). I just picked up the Ultimate Edition this past week, and I love it. That said, you don't need a lot of skill to do decent in PVP. Cover swap for movement, roll, then shotgun. It's a formula that's been pretty solid the past 9 years, even across all games (despite the actual weapon balancing that happened from 3 on). Even on Insane, PVE is easily doable if you take a minute to assess the combat situation and not blindly charge into the sh*t.

I played all the how. all of them were good I liked 3 and 1
-
3 RepliesEdited by wigriffin: 8/29/2015 8:07:16 PMThe first few were good. I can't remember having a bad time playing them.

Anyone complaining on here is either a pony, a desticle/ cod fanboy with terrible gaming sense and their critique should be ignored, or they never played horde with their friends up to 50 Git gud
-
5 RepliesGears is hella lame A generic brown and gray cover based shooter with regening health and a BIG BURLY BUFF STRONG MAN as the protag So exciting
-
2 RepliesI remember how cancerous the GoW community was. Destiny is no different. They are both cancer.
-
Never played it, so I won't judge it.
-
2 RepliesYou claim that gears "community" isnt like the COD once who is filled with children yet you make insults and berate others... like children do. You arent stating why the game is good, you're just saying it requires "skill" but that is a veage generalized claim. Your argument is void.

1 ReplyPeople who hate it are shit at it and can't handle a game that doesnt have aim assist
-
1 ReplyIs it me or do 3rd person shooters usually have better online. Uncharted, war/fall of cybertron and gears
-
10 RepliesGears of War 2 is still the greatest gears of war to date, it actually takes skill and teamwork.
-
2 RepliesAnyone who has never played Gears of War and doesn't understand it's legacy really doesn't understand exactly how important it is to the current state of gaming. In the last gen, GoW revolutionized shooting games. PERIOD. It came along and was the first game of its kind, and in turn started the whole cover based shooter standard that we see in so many games today. People who are calling it "just another cover-based shooter" are ignorant--it is THE cover-based shooter from which all other cover-based shooters are based on! Now listen, I'm not a GoW fan. I haven't even played a GoW since the first one back in '07. But it is OBJECTIVELY a revolution in shooting games. There is no argument here. Just like Halo revolutionized console shooting games and Quake II revolutionized online competitive FPS gameplay, GoW is revolutionary. And once again, this is a FACT that not even I, a Sony fanatic can deny.

2 RepliesBut it is boring. Bought the first. Thought it was meh. Went to a friends house and played the second still thought it was meh. Then the third came out and was expecting meh from the get go so I skipped it.
-
I've never played so I can't judge, but it's never made me want an Xbox
-
2 RepliesSorry but the gears community ruined gears with all there crying
-
12 RepliesEdited by to12143: 8/29/2015 3:28:20 AMThey nerfed the longshot being a one shot anywhere after a perfect active reload
-
Oh please, the Gears community is even more toxic than destinys. When they buffed the ARs so you actually had a chance against the Gnasher, people were pretty much chanting death to Epic on the forums.
-
2 RepliesGears 3 ftw. Judgement blew. I'm optimistic of 4 but pretty sure with new people behind the scenes it will blow just like Judgement
-
3 RepliesYou mean gnasher of wars..
-
I loved it. It was metal as -blam!-, but without Jack Black. An original concept with action, horror, distopic environments, and good, tough-as-nails characters.
-
4 RepliesGears is the only game that everyone starts with the same weapons. It is the only skill based multiplayer left.
-
Gears of war is the shit idk how do ppl not like
