If you ask bungie right now what destiny is they will say an mmo rpg shooter. Because thats what it is. It has constant flowing content just like an mmo but instead of paying subscription fees you pay for expansions. It has daily and weekly challenges unlike boarderlands
English
-
Weekly challanges? Lets throw Halo into this then.
-
Does halo have a six player raid? Must have missed that
-
No. It has weekly challanges though.
-
Halo does not have a fully explorable world with three people at any time
-
Youre right. Thats Borderlands. (But thats four people)
-
Once again please tell me what part of mmos destiny does not have. Just because boarderlands has a small piece of an mmo you cant say its exactly like destiny and call it an mmo
-
Your right. It doesnt have a random person walk through the part of the world youre in. Thats the only difference. That, and if you find a cool weapon at level 6, you might find one identical to it at level 50.
-
Thts a gameplay and rng design and has nothing to do with this conversation
-
It does. It means weapons can go with you as you level up.
-
Yes you can keep them but theyre attack values will be left behind. Enter year 2 where the ghorn is among the same attack value as a green engram found on the floor
-
That is what I we are trying to prevent.
-
That is what we are trying to prevent "smart guy". Its like you forgot what the argument was about.
-
The point is you can bring weapons with u for nostalgia but they will be useless. You cannot, as you said, continuously keep bringing your same weapons from expansion to expansion expecting to stay competitive or viable

Edited by Executor Hideo: 8/24/2015 3:39:12 AMI never said you couldnt. When did I say that? My Vanquisher is from Vanilla, yet here in HoW, its doing just as well as the Vindicator (HoW NM assault rifle)
-
Yes you may be able to keep your guns string between months but at the beginning of a year the slate will be wiped clean. Just like WoW does
-
This is not WoW. It is Destiny. God, its like your not even reading what Im typing.
-
WoW is a popular traditional mmo that has many many identitical attributes to destiny and its gear systems
-
But it is also different in many key aspects. 1. It is not Destiny, so quit trying to turn Destiny into it.
