Is it just me or does nobody ever talk in the crucible? I sometimes play alone and for whatever reason never find anyone who has a mic in random lobbys... This is weird to me considering the competitive nature of the game... What are your thoughts? Bump up if you have a damn mic! (the video has random funny moments with friends in the crucinle) enjoy!

6 RepliesI put a mic regardless of chats...have you played destiny with all the sound in your mic? It's so amazing...the sound of your gun the background music and everything else it's just O.M.G lol.

Edited by CaptxnChaos: 8/24/2015 4:06:03 PMBecause I can't stand listening to virulent little kids scream and complain online, I have less of an issue with younger girls online (no Chris Hansen I most certainly will NOT have a seat right over there just let me explain) because when they complain somehow they are a hell of a lot less obnoxious, maybe it's because they exert more self control idk.

7 RepliesI have a mic. I don't even talk with my friends when I play. What makes you think I'm gonna chat up with randoms?
-
2 RepliesI only talk to people I know irl.
-
7 RepliesIf with randoms and we're playing Skolas or trails and you no mic, g'bye.
-
1 ReplyI generally don't use my mic in regular PVP, unless my team is just feeding kills to the other team. Regular crucible isn't competitive enough to require constant communication. However if you play skirmish, and especially trials, a mic will make or break your game.

3 RepliesI know. I play Weeklies and no one has a mix. I play NightFall and suddenly everyone has a mic.. I guess it depends on if the situation requires a mic If you're playing with random people you haven't met before in PVP there's no point in talking to them unless you know their play style. Saying "there's a guy by the stairs" isn't going to help much anyway.. If you're playing as a team it's way better though. The more people talking the better In PvE you basically should already know what you're doing but for nightfalls and raids it's a requirement because the pressure of not knowing what other people are thinking is bad. It's good to be on the same page.. For example I was doing this weeks nightfall (Taniks) and my LFG teammate was trying to kill all the enemies in the first room (just before the darkness) and me and the guy who skipped that part died. Due to lack of communication

1 ReplyWhen Destiny first launched it didn't have team chat so ppl learned to play without talking.

1 ReplyYeah i don't like to talk with people in crucible, apart of my clan mates... Random strikes and lfg stuff is a other thing...there only with mic
-
We'll if you have ever experience destiny's in game chat function you find quickly that it is horrendous. Even if people had mics you couldn't understand them anyways.
-
I don't use my mic for any in game matchmaking, only friends or LFG.

4 RepliesI'm deaf xD it's annoying cuz every time I'm invited to raid, I'm always invited to party and I'd like oh hey I'm deaf. I do have a mic but I rarely ever use them to entertain my friends with my voice xP. I can understand why it would be annoying though. I wish there were non-mic competitive game mode.. Cuz they can converge, flank me etc instantly via mic whereby I can't. I could use Skype but even so it'd still slow and I could be killed whilst looking at the Skype and signing. And!! I found out you can hear supers in pvp so what about us deaf guardians?... -_- and sound cues for chest!! Sheesh. but yeah you could try ask for competitive game mode that require mics I guess? That way bungie could satisfy people like me and you.

1 ReplyI put one on just in case, but if no one else speaks, neither do i. Lol

1 ReplyEdited by Wowbagger: 8/24/2015 2:45:54 PMthe few times somebody has tried it's either full of crackle or I can hear gameplay from a second earlier or the person is a babbling idiot - hence everybody gets muted the moment they start.
-
1 ReplyBump, if ps4, add me. I'd rather do 3v3 matches with people who talk.

3 RepliesIf anyone watches Battlefield Friends.... Turns on Team Speak.... Head explodes

3 RepliesEdited by Orbital Drop Shock Trooper: 8/24/2015 2:46:58 PMEver since the introduction of the Xbox Live party system during the mid-cycle of Halo 3's online dominance, public mic use has dropped severely to the point of being nonexistent. I have so many memories of pre-game lobby trash talking/banter that would motivate me to play the game well. Just for the 5-10 seconds of utter trash talk everybody looked forward to by the post-game lobby. This was why Xbox was a lot more fun back then, because of the commonplace banter, people didn't take it as personally as they do now. Not just in Halo, But more notably on Gears 1/2 execution mode specifically and COD MW1/MW2/W@W Search and Destroy days as well. These days people are so insecure/anti social, It's now gotten so redic, to the point of where you say 'hello' you've already offended a majority of the lobby and earned mutes from half the team. You actually have to text an essay to people using your control pad now to have random interaction. Halo Reach BTB was the last bastion of random mic use that was somewhat common on the Xbox. Those days are now over. The age of party chat still reigns.

4 RepliesTalk with randoms in crucible ? Nah . Plus I live in japan , so I wouldn't understand what's being said anyway

13 RepliesEdited by Nedus: 8/23/2015 4:59:01 PMI'd rather not listen to people singing, or their crap music in the background, or their babies crying and their dogs barking. Or their complaints about not having backup when they run off by themselves. Or "wowwwwwwwww bro" every time they die. It does make it kinda hard to meet new teammates though.

1 ReplyWhat's funny is the first couple months this game was out, people whined and cried like crazy on the forums asking for this feature. And now no one uses it.
