"Oh... Wait... I can't use Fatebringer for ten years? -blam!- YOU RAGE CRY RAGE CRY DELETE CHARACTERS FHKPCHOSYSIYDHKSYDHODHODYDHLSGIWUDOHLCJOHKFU1!!!!!!11111!!!!!!!!!!"
Edit; Ok I was wrong for calling people pathetic and muting that guy. I'll try to actually debate with him now and not be so condescending to you guys. I was a little salty today, I apologize.
Important edit: Bungie is on the chopping block right now. If they fail to deliver what they have released like at E3 (2013), then they know the game is screwed. Destiny will have no chance if they don't deliver. That's why I'm being optimistic, because Bungie can't afford another shitstorm.
Edit: Sadly, some of you can't read. Cutscenes promote an in game story.
Edit: Updated the post with new information, thereby improving it. WAS THE FIRST POST BETA?

I honestly wanna know if the Prince dies, cause I'd laugh so hard if he did.
-
And it only took an entire year and $100!
-
Ayy lmao bump for later
-
6 RepliesMost of what you stated is reskinned. I'm still waiting for a"oh snap gotta preorder now!" News.
-
The concepts, if delivered to the selling point they're bring advertised at could prove a turning point in Destiny. Anything less and the torrent of complaints will just keep flooding in.
-
The fact that you have to use new legendarys sound fun. It'll giving something to do while lvling up
-
1 ReplyI had to watch that twice
-
All these negative nellies, I've been trying to help people understand that this is destiny year 2 and not some tiny little dlc they're throwing at us. So to all the people that have been whining since it was announced here's my comment from 9/18/15, "I told you so". #hypetrain

2 RepliesI wouldnt count on cutscenes including much of a story.... though I hope

4 RepliesEdited by Adam: 8/5/2015 8:56:55 PMThere's a difference between offering viable, desirable alternatives to what we already have in our arsenal, and wiping the slate clean to manufacture a reason for you to jump back on the hamster wheel and start again. This is the latter. We just spent 3 months collecting etheric light in order to upgrade our favourite gear. 3 months before that, we were grinding for commendations.... Can you not see the artificial time-sink?... How they create these must-have materials only to delete them 3 months later so you have to start again? If something worth having is there, people will play for it. People grinded the Hell out of strikes for Hopscotch, I replaced my Longbow with Her Benevolence, The Messenger is highly sought-after. Who would choose to grind for the useless PoE weapons? Seriously. If the weapons are desirable enough, they can exist in tandem with the existing weapons. Sub-par weapons will not. It's as simple as that. There is no variety for 2 reasons: 1) VoG weapons were designed way better than they should have been and are massively overpowered. 2) The pool of weapons gets progressively worse with each DLC. Using these 2 reasons to justify deleting 100's and 100's of hours spent earning gear is stupid.... Your entire arsenal is becoming obsolete for anything but patrol and low-level content. If you can't see that, then I don't know what to say to you. And no, it's not an MMO.

1 Reply-New gun models Aesthetically, great - but how they fire is what matters. I'd imagine they'd be tuned to work well with the weapon balancing patch but will likely just feel the same as existing ones -New patrol This is the best part IMO, especially as there's secrets within it and also higher level enemies. -New game modes One is Clash with faster supers whilst the other seems like they've spent at least 30 minutes brainstorming -New subclasses This is good -Weapon manufacturers Meh, I don't even know the names of the current ones -Dynamic bosses It makes a change from the current sponges but I'd expect that they'll still be pseudo-difficult by being surrounded by a shit load of adds and/or a level or two higher -Cut scenes *Holds X* -Dynamic characters Wut? -Improved ghost A slightly different monotone that'll become just as annoying after two missions and will still: 1. Constantly lead us in to danger 2. Continue to take his time at precisely the wrong time -Improved story You'd hope so from a game just coming out of Beta -Improved balance This is from the weapon balancing patch and bundled in to the TTK solely for marketing. Hopefully with more time to test they can eradicate errors in fücking other things -Experience levels This is good, more MMO like that actually rewards skill and effort rather than: 1. Someone pulling full Raid gear on 2 runs whilst others take 10+ 2. What we experienced in Vanilla and TDB in chasing light over usefulness -More exotics that are actually interesting Judging by their previous exotics, I'm not holding much faith. The only good exotics from TDB and HoW IMO are: • Obsidian Mind (purely for Exclusion Zone), • The Ram for PvP, • Nighthawk for bosses All others - including weapons - are far worse than Vanilla ones. -Gear changes (arc strangers rifle etc) This is long overdue, SR upgrade should have been in Vanilla similar to Husk -> Necro -Going to Titan? This some moon or something? -New ships That you can only see through the corner of your eye whilst you're glancing from your phone to see if you've finished loading. There were also new ships in TDB and HoW. -Cut scenes *bashes X* -Vanguard getting off their asses In a cut scene? -Bungie states "we need to fix stuff", acknowledged that they know they were wrong year 1 and are trying their best to fix it I'd hope that they'd recognise improvements from a Beta -New enemy type Different coloured existing enemies that'll likely: 1. Take more damage at their respective levels than their Beta counterparts, and 2. Change elemental shields much like that boss in PoE - as that was annoying and could add game time -Revamped strikes Replacing current enemies with the two previous points and running them backwards, sideways and vertically? -New raid Should be good -Did I say cut scenes? AN IN GAME STORY!! It currently has cut scenes and no story is present, what's to say that this will change by throwing in a few more haphazard ones? -Old, exotics good (necrochasm destroys) Again, part of the weapon balancing patch -New weapon type! We had one for HoW and that was bad -Swords!??' No idea what use they'll be - unless they can also fire bullets accurately - seeing as we're not in the Middle Ages -SPACE BATTLES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!??????? Gameplay or cut scene? Looked like the latter to me

I'll wait and judge the story for myself. That rich and engaging story I got the 1st time around made me a skeptic.

4 RepliesI'm carrying my fatebringer, voc, and ldr all the way to year 10. No one can stop me

Edited by HotCupofNasty: 8/5/2015 7:57:41 PMAs far as losing year 1 weapons, GOOD. Yes they are fun but it's been a year, it's past time to move to newer things. VoG weapons were the best and we got them in the first month if not less of the game being released. Let's compare VoG weapons to HoW weapons....hands down VoG wins and that's just sad. It's time to move on and I for one am happy, but most excited that IB/Trials won't be Thorn/Last Word/Red Death fest like it has been.

Cutscenes are great. It would have been nice of Bungie to think of them a year ago.
-
THE HYPE TRAIIIIIIIIIIN!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
This post requires a Bungie "The Taken King" Premium Membership to view.
-
Im actually really hype now after watching the we are guardians video, looks promising. I feel Destiny was alpha and The Taken King will be the beta, Shattered Suns is when it really pops off
-
The changes are not really grabbing my wallet and shaking $40+ loose. The 2.0 weapon patch notes didn't bother me but I actually enjoyed the simplified RPG aspects of Destiny, the light mechanic, and the small incremental leveling system with each patch. Sadly I don't think I'll be continuing this game with Halo 5 and other games coming out. Good luck to those of you who do stay and I hope you enjoy TTK. :)

Edited by Alex_Supertramp1: 8/5/2015 7:24:28 PMI wouldn't start sucking the D just yet. Game is still too small, and one new explorable area? They are literally adding a 3rd or a 4th of the content that came with the base game. it's bigger than the miniature crap expansions of last year sure, but perfect? Let's put it this way, if the new raid doesn't beat VoG, this "expansion" is dead in a month. Edit: I could care less about new guns and gear if i'm tired of playing the same old shit over and over again.
