Its not just the weapon nerfing thats making people quit. It's the lack of matchmaking, the shitty reward system, the repetitive grind, the constant errors, the thoughtless promotions (redbull), lack of new maps/planets, server lag, reskinned ships and guns and bad guys for every DLC, etc...
One day, you too will wake up and realize that Destiny is "video game crack" and BungieVision is your dealer.
Edit1: I also forgot to mention the whole "throw money at the screen" thing. This was obviously not an approved message from BungieVision (BV), but this slip of the tongue by Mr. Smith definitely tells the fan base what they mean to BV as customers.
Part of me feels bad for Bungie, as they are just doing as they're told. But that doesn't mean you should continue to fall in line.

It's been feeling like an addiction for a long time now. The fun tapered off and the "i need to get this done by reset" feeling kicked in. That's not fun. Nearly all the people defending every action the devs make are heavy pvp players. Eventually they come around and finally are capable of criticizing something. It takes time for some people.

Let's not forget how when HoW was getting ready to release, the proclamations of 'we learned from our mistakes' were loud and clear...yet here they go repeating all the same mistakes, not only making hard-earned items irrelevant but also the activities to acquire those items...I would be well surprised if the one single new raid could possibly be time consuming and fun enough to make not only th VoG but CE and Poe irrelevant.
