Me and a buddy were playing some rumble, and we just needed to get the bounty for the 5 rumble games done. After we got in the game we decided to just not kill each other (we weren't boosting or anything) and after the second game I get a message reading "Cheatin -blam!- still lost. Recorded and reported. Enjoy ur ban clown".
I seriously don't think we did anything wrong. What are you're thoughts? Also I have his gamertag, if anyone wants it just ask.
God damn some of you forum users are assholes!

I dunno how that's cheating. Unless you're the sort of guy that steals parking spots and takes the last donut! Then it's a serious problem and you need help.
-
1 ReplySounds smart to me.
-
I think it's pretty lame that you two decided to team up, but it's not really worth getting upset over.
-
It is free for all, you gain an unfair advantage by working together.
-
1 ReplyYou did nothing wrong bungie wont ban you dont stress it
-
Ha-ha he is just mad. No cheating there
-
Tried this once with a friend because he kept getting mad when I shut down his streaks. Soon as heavy dropped he betrayed me and it was back to a free for all.
-
I understand what your saying
-
I can't believe you cared enough about what a random thought to make a post TBH. That aside no. It's not cheating. Especially if the game allows you do so. Cheese? Meh. Maybe. But cheating? Nah.
-
1 ReplyYou're a dick... But this is bungies fault - fire teams should not be allowed in rumble - this is also how most of the scrubs got thorn
-
I do that all the time with my friends but we usually just end up killing eachother by accident. :)
-
8 RepliesWhy wouldn't you kill each other? I go after my friends ruthlessly in rumble.
-
6 RepliesCheating? No. Obnoxious and annoying? Yea... But hey, it's free for all. And everyone complaining on here should really look up the meaning of it.
-
Edited by bnarsty: 7/10/2015 12:22:44 PMWhy would we want his gamer tag? You are the one that was suspect
-
Not cheating, if the others were any good they would have no issue taking you both out and securing a win.
-
I bet if you get fired it's because your boss is a dick not because you're terrible
-
Surely that's the games fault for allowing teams in! If it's free for all as such, all against all, no teams, the game shouldn't allow you to join as one! The fact that people can play rumble, in a fireteam, in a party is just stupid! If a fireteam of six want to play each other fine, or add private matches. Can call it cheating if the rules allow you to do it!

11 RepliesYour history has a lot more than a couple games in rumble with that friend. If you guys teamed up in rumble that is boosting. Justify it however you want it's an advantage over all other players
-
1 ReplyI wouldn't say it was cheating, but it's a dick move.
-
Edited by beerdini: 7/10/2015 12:11:21 PMI wouldn't call it cheating, I would call it a gentleman's agreement not to kill each other. Yes Rumble is still free-for-all style, and you still CAN kill each other, but there is nothing that prevents you from playing with team strategies in there. It is sort of fun trolling other players when you save a friend being chased by another player and you both go over to the corpse for the double tbag, then kill your buddy. For people complaining how it is unfair 2 (or 3) on 1 strategy, there are medals rewarded for crossfire kills on other players so to an extent working with other players is encouraged in a limited fashion
-
Sounds like some random person hating you for killing him. Don't worry about it I get reported almost every match when I equip Thorn lol.
-
Not killing each other is boosting in its own way
-
3 RepliesAgain people take this game too seriously im on your side man -blam!- that people thatgo psycho over shit like that
-
I usually don't play rumble with friends but when i do i make sure i kill my friends more times than he kills me
-
4 RepliesPlay the game the way you like and don't give a shit what other people say. They all cheated the bridge at crota and didn't get banned.
-
Cheating? No. Just remember you can play this game anyway you want, within the rules bungie set. If other players don't like it then they can quit anytime they want. (but most will just whinge & whine, calling people cheaters)
