A lot of you don't get it.. This wouldn't be easier it would make truly going 9/0 harder. You would face people your own skill so no matter what when you move up you will be facing people more skilled until the best 9:0ers on top of the scoreboard who can't be beaten. Then the 3x a week 9/0ers will actually have a challenge and know what it's like to face people better than them . A lot of the current ones complaining about people complaining are thankful they play worse players because they barley make their 9/0

Using an example from another field: If you are a champion in one bjj tournament, in subsequent tournaments you will have to register as "expert." If you go 9-0 you should be matched with players of similar skill.

1 ReplyI always thought it would be interesting (though would probably end horribly in actuality) to have teams of the same record face each other. Ex: 8-0 teams face other 8-0 teams, making the lighthouse a much more difficult place to reach. Would help out those who aren't as good in Crucible as well, so they don't match with better teams which only serves to feed strong teams with more "free wins" and dishearten the less skilled even more

Pvp will soon be solely played by flawless, trials is almost unplayable for not flawless. Pvp will be soon cause of all the op shit flawless getting. Pve is dead, pvp will soon dy, destiny is almost done..

Why not make it more like a tournament? Have grading for players/teams untill you get to grade A then your 9-0 doesnt get you to mercury. Your past history and k/d over the last month will determine your initial team ranking, as you get 9-0 in one rank, it automatically advances you to the next grade. I think it would feel like more of an epoch, extending the gameplay also. Also it will be a fairer fight than the current (for me at least). This is usually what happens - inspect team on flight in, all have exotic emblems, ahhh crap - we're all dead (again). I would have a lot of work to do to make it to mercury (i.e. get gud scrub), but it would be more fun getting there and if i never got there, at least i am having fun (the whole point behind video games - yes?) This way it is not making it easier to get there (probably harder), and only the elite will make it. Seem fairer?

Edited by The 7th fall: 6/27/2015 12:19:34 PMIf PvP was properly balanced in terms of weapons, I'd say yes. Though since it's basically Thorn/Last Word, Efrideet's Spear with Final Round/Party Crasher wars, I say no. Bungie needs to listen and read about the threads for auto rifles buffs, Thorn de-buff/balancing threads, Last Word adjustment threads, fusion rifles threads, etc. It just feels like they don't play their own game. If I was a Bungie employee and played PvP quite a bit, which I do, there would be plenty of ideas on the table for buffing and tweaking.

There is no ranking system which there should be for us lot who lets just say not as good as the mainstream pvpers i do agree I've never been to the lighthouse and problebly won't for another 2 years.

Don't give a shit, cus most of the time the people I face have at least one guy on their team with 9-0 anyway.

1 ReplyI feel like matchmaking should exclusively select players with the same number of wins in their card; maybe +/- one of they can't find someone easily.
-
3 RepliesThere should be two matchmaking types. One for people who use exotic hand cannons and one for those who don't

1 ReplyBefore I make my comment let me just say that I enjoy fighting flawless teams and I'm not saying this because I love to fight lesser oponents. I think ur post and the other posts similar to it r quite ridiculous, what u r saying is that since u bought the dlc u r entitled to going to the lighthouse because I'm guessing uve never gone flawless. the trials should be an equal challange for all, it is the hardest thing to do in destiny (currently) and honestly it just seems ur annoyed u and ur team aren't good enough.

For the current week.

8 RepliesWasnt trails suppose to be challenging? Whats challenging about taking the best players out of it? It doesnt make sense.. Its suppose to be the hardest achievement in pvp. Would you be happy getting to 9-0 playing bad players? Trust me its much more satisfying the normal way.. What you're suggesting is the equivalent of taking people who have already completed the raid or skolas that week and putting them in Their own bracket, leaving only players who cannot complete it to play by themselves.
-
Yes. The game should match you with other teams with similar win streaks and have provided tiered rewards for the number of wins. Bungie has no clue what they're doing. They've shown that since the beginning.
-
Going 9-0 means nothing. People get carried. You should find a team that can do that for you so that you can stop bitching and start prancing around with the emblem and rock the arc summoner your gonna get from the chest. Making it easy takes away from the whole point of this being an elite reward.
-
2 RepliesI think complainers and people who post about the same topics should be in their own bracket.
-
Absolutely...and only the top bracket with the good players gets access to Mercury...that way the job pvpers get to play and pvpers get their elite rewards
-
11 Replies... then everyone would go 9-0

HELL YES

Bumps
-
15 RepliesWell you clearly have never gone flawless and think because you bought the game should be entitled to it. Sad.
