People are so stupid sometimes. Just about everything depreciates in value over time. By the time new players can buy the $80 version, most of the content will have been out for 6 months. You as a long-time player are not getting "screwed"; you have had access to the content since you purchased it. That much more time to develop your characters, play raids when they are challenging and interesting, etc..
TL;DR OP is an idiot. Get over it.

The real issue is that the collectors edition has exclusive stuff, I'd buy it, but I don't want to buy stuff I already have, I'd pay extra for the stuff, but not $40 for stuff I already have And destiny+TDB+HoW =/= $40, which is what they are selling it for in TTK collectors edition

The assumption is that it will not be available to older players at some point. Even if it is not, will it really be that big of a deal? Do you rage at Sony or Microsoft when they release a new version of their consoles that has games included, or a bigger hard drive, different color scheme, etc.?

I'm not raging. but yes, I am frustrated. Bungie is losing out on a large amount of money due to this collectors addition. Many current players want it, but won't buy stuff they already have. I am one of them. And I don't think it's cool that I'm gonna see new players with shaders and class items I would've had buy with stuff I already have. Yes, it's not a huge problem, but it's a slap to face to people like me.
