Xûr weapons inventory history.
This topic used to be call called "Why isn't Xûr selling the Gjallarhorn?"
He sold Red Death Weeks 1, 4, 27, and 42; Gjallarhorn Weeks 2 and 49; SUROS Regime Weeks 3, 7, 31, and 47; Ice Breaker Weeks 5, 19, 23, and 26; Truth Weeks 6, 9, 14, and 36; Patience and Time Weeks 8, 15, 38, 46, and 52; The Last Word Weeks 10, 32, 37, and 48; MIDA Multi-Tool Weeks 11, 18, 29, 33, and 39; Plan C Weeks 12, 13, 22, 44, and 51; No Land Beyond Weeks 16, 20, 24, and 53; Dragon's Breath Weeks 17, 21, and 30; Universal Remote Weeks 25, 40, and 43; Hard Light Weeks 28, 34, and 41; Thunderlord Week 35 and 50; and no weapons Week 45.

1 ReplyBecause bungie realized how awesome the Gjally was. And buying it doesn't exactly give you the excitement and proudness you get when you finally find it. I for one haven't found it, but I don't really want to buy it either.

Translation: Don't be silly Xur can't sell the most OP, boss burning, game mechanic side stepping rocket launcher in the game!!!! If he did then I wouldn't be special anymore and everybody would find out I'm actually pretty crappy at this game. How do you think I actually beat level 35 POE? I'll tell you how 3 guardians, 3 gallys and we burned him before anything had a chance to spawn. If everyone had the gally I wouldn't be able to bump better guardians from fireteams and steal their raid loot!!! All you guardians that are crying for Xur to sell the gally need to stop!

2 RepliesEdited by EVIL VENOM: 6/28/2015 1:32:50 PMFeizel Crux ran out of parts :-) But this is my thoughts on why most players that don't have it are upset, these players expect it too much on nightfalls and raids that when the moment comes it's nothing but disappointment. Stop wanting something and it will come when it comes. I gave up on wanting mine and I got 3 in a month. Wanting a gun so bad to a point it il upsets you will bring nothing but anger when you don't get it. Keep playing activities that reward the Gjallarhorn and it will come at some point, just don't stress over it :-)

2 RepliesThey did take it out of rotation if you followed deej on twitch about 2 months ago him and the weapon guy both confirmed that is wasn't available by xur since the first time it was sold and it wouldn't be brought back into rotation at all. The explanation from the weapon creator was because the weapon is so good that it would ruin the game if people all got one because it's so overpowered. My opinion is all the people saying your a noob or scrub cuz someone doesn't have one aren't good themselves cuz there pretty much stating hey I can only beat what I have this far in destiny cuz of that weapon. Completed all raids and Poe without gallys God knows how many times. It's the player that makes the game not the freaking weapons

13 RepliesThey refuse to sell it. It was the best selling weapon they ever had a d that was in week 2. No other weapon or gear piece has come close in a single week. They removed it from his exotic list. It is the only exotic that you can't get from Xur...with the exception of raid exotics such as the Vex and the nechrochasm.

5 RepliesWhy should he sell it. It drops for someone every week I raid. I picked up 2 last week and my first the week before. I've seen it drop so much in the past two months I mean at least 20 times. Red death almost never drops I'm happy he's selling it.

It's the carrot on the string, the top weapon that everyone is supposed to grind for. That's why it's so difficult to get now. You'll just have to grind all of the opportunities for exotics until it drops unfortunately.

Xur won't sell it because Bungie wants to keep us grinding for it. I've been playing since day one and still don't have one. RNG is complete bullsh*t!

why would it be a good idea for him to sell the ghorn? destiny wouldn't be fun if almost every player who bought the ghorn to just blow up everything quickly. It would just ruin the game

I suspect the RNG is biased to drop weapons and armor to influence the direction of game play.

Even if the RNG of this game sucks, it is still random. True randomness means that [b]any[/b] result is possible, though not equally, so having the same result 5 times in a row can still be considered random. Controlled randomness is more desirable since it goes through each possibility equally before there is a large imbalance in the overall results. That being said, the [b]only[/b] reason Xûr has not sold the Gjallarhorn twice is simply because it's still [b]random[/b], not because of any rumors or how desperately those without it want it.
