Getting robbed of kills?
Ok. Need to vent. Some things I have noticed playing this game and it is really aggravating the hell out of me. Just want to see if any other people are getting robbed of their kills. On average I get robbed of at least 2 to 3 kills per game. Just to clarify, I am aware there are people that rule every aspect of Crucible. Quicker to the gun, better armor and of course I know the headshot is the ultimate death blow. I get it.
Here are the things I noticed and want to know if other people are getting robbed as well. All these circumstances take place when I get the drop on somebody, unleashing the first shots or first blows and I stress this fact.
1) Unloading an entire clip into somebody's face only to have them either shoot me one time and I die or stroll on up to me while blasting their a** and melee me once and I die.
2) Why the hell does my melee hardly ever work but everybody else has zero trouble punching me to death with one punch? Can’t count how many times I have punched somebody 2-3 times only to have them hit me one freakin time and I die.
3) Can’t count how many times I have blasted somebody in the face 2 times with the shotgun at point blank range and melee them and nothing happens, NOTHING!!! And they shoot me once and I die.
4) The good ole shoulder thrust. Bungie please explain to me when I shoulder thrust somebody and it makes the sound of me hitting them first and then I hear the shotgun blast of their gun after I hit them I die. WTF!?
5) Grenades. I don’t even know why I have them. I have stuck more grenades to peoples face and it do absolutely nothing. Hell, I have had grenades that don’t even explode but of course everybody else’s grenades work just fine on my a**.
6) Fist of Havoc. Don’t know if this super is my friend or not. So many times I have dropped the fist on people standing five freakin feet away from me only to have everybody laugh at me and proceed to fill me full of lead, fusion or a well-placed bitch slap. But do have to admit it seems to be more of a friend.
7) This is the one thing that really irritates me more than anything with the supers. When the wizard throws his void ball thingy at someone on the ground and I am 30 feet in the air nowhere near the damn thing or my teammate and I die. I AM IN THE AIR!!! ARRGGGGHHH!!!
8) Has anybody noticed how the opposing team has bullets that curve around corners? Where can I get some of those because ole worm face Xur sure as hell doesn’t have them.
9) And finally, the hunter, with your fancy little throwing knife that defies logic by penetrating space age armor and killing me with one shot. That is the biggest bull*** in this entire game. IT IS A KNIFE FOR CHRIST’S SAKE!!! I HAVE ARMOR ON!!! as I scream at the TV.
So with all that being said I know it is just a silly little game and regardless of what people say about K/D, it does matter. You are on a team and the goal is to win through teamwork but when I repeatedly get robbed of kills by some strange programming algorithm that says I don’t get the kill it infuriates me to the fullest. Plus, since I know people can manipulate a.k.a cheating games through technology it really adds fuel to my fire. Rant over.

This. I was literally emptying an entire clip into the face of an opposing player only to have them one hit insta-kill me. It's very frustrating.

This happens often with me. It happens almost every game. I've heard my arc blade connect with my foe and then they take no damage and shotgun me. I've shotgunned many and been killed by their melee after my shot...How would that work? It is happening more and more with heavy machine guns. Half of my bullets seem to not even register most of the time

1 ReplyA lot of that is lag, the void bomb I've seen but a lot of the time you're actually closer than you see on your screen because of the lag. Like that shit hit 6' from you but it looks like you got away. ......although, I did have a gajallahorn rocket explode at my feet last night and I took 0 damage from it, I even said to the rest of my team that i dont understand why I was still alive lol Goes both ways sometimes lol Having the matches on dedicated servers instead of player hosted matched would help alleviate a lot of these problems

I can tell you that the throwing knife is not a one hit kill if your health bar is full. My technique is shoot them a few times and then throw the knife.

1 ReplyPlay as a titan, melee fight with warlock get one shoted with a warlock melee, he lives after two melee from titan. Play as a warlock, same scenario, one melee from a titan kills me. He lives after I hit him twice. O.o

1 ReplyThrowing knife doesn't 1 hit ive tested it numerous times, even getting a headshot with the knife...without incendiary it's never a 1 hit. With it leaves about 2 ticks of health left. So usually it's to finish off enemies

It's not my intention to steal kills in PvP. I just want to win the match to get reputation for IB (don't play Crucible and didn't play ToO yet) and to complete my bounties. I'm not mad or anything if I lower an enemy's health by 95% and then you come around the corner and kill him. I'm just glad we killed him and move on to the next enemy or capture zone. There's nothing else in Destiny I hate more than getting killed by other players, so I'm always grateful when you help/ed me. In PvE it's a different story.

The loss of Joe Staten and other high level designers only highlights bungies inability to produce quality games. Bungie's pathetic attempts at damage control show how bungie has no direction or priority. Instead of focusing on making this game right by fixing the raids (which bungie obviously can't do since they didn't release a raid with this dlc) or fixing the lag in pvp with DEDICATED SERVERS and an option for ping limiter/region selection...or OPTIONAL matchmaking...or a better communication system so we can actually be social...or a coherent story...or fixing the awful, shitty rng.... (sigh) bungie instead focuses on making purple balls glow when you kick them and banning people in the forums that have VALID concerns and nerfing guns cause the other guns are not being used. Bungie imo, has lied to us and sold us a unfinished, incomplete and inferior product. They've made bold promises and have failed to deliver. Both you, Bungie and activision...are not worthy of my money!! Hence why I choose to [b][i]Boycott bungie and activision.[/i][/b] I will spread the word to as many people as possible so they will do the same. Although I won't have to do much as A LOT of people have already seen through your bs. It puts a smile on my face knowing that other companies like Bethesda, Respawn Entertainment, WB Games and even independent producers will soon be blowing you out of the water...they, are worthy of my money! I...will not miss you at all. :)

This has happened to me a bunch of times this IB. Like, zero health drops after a shoulder charge or shotgun blast. Didn't think too much of it until now. They didn't magically teleport so lag didn't jump out at me as the cause. Wtg gives Bungie? Whatever. Got my gauntlets, greaves, and etheric light... Until next time!
