The most common posts, and the most active threads, are requesting optional matchmaking for Trials of Osiris and Prison of Elders. Moreover, all of the independent reviews that I've read of the House of Wolves specifically, and the broader game in general, question your baffling decision not to include optional matchmaking throughout.
I have yet to see a cogent argument against optional matchmaking, yet every day many people present well-articulated arguments for it. Optional matchmaking would enhance the experience of thousands of players every day, and would negatively affect none.
You say you listen to us, so let's see it.
Edit: For the sake of visibility, I posted this in Feedback, too. Deej replied twice on that post! Check it out. It gets pretty entertaining. But, the overwhelming majority - at least if those who commented - want optional MM for PoE and ToO.

15 RepliesThe only players who are pissed about lack of matchmaking are the ones too thick to understand why it would be awful for the game as a whole. Being frustrated that you have to spend a few minutes on a website (horrors!) PALES in comparison to the clusterfvck that would be matchmade raids or endgame things. It would generate FAR worse press and reviews, which hurts everyone. This is why I'm thrilled it doesn't exist and would advise strongly against it. Bungie is smart enough to know this in advance. People asking for this feature seem not to be.

9 RepliesI agree but only partially: Having Matchmaking in every game type sounds great in theory, I believe it should be added for all Strikes including Nightfall. Even Raids at this stage. However I cannot agree with this - you want to make it easier to team up with Randoms in Osiris? Then every team built this way will have a much higher change of being slaughtered as well as no accountability when they drop out as it's not their friends they're bailing on. You'll make it easier for the real teams and cause more frustration for everyone else. This wasn't a lack of foresight on Bungie's part - this is an design decision.
I have yet to see a cogent argument against optional matchmaking, yet every day many people present well-articulated arguments for it.
it must be an emotional argument Bungie have, rather than a logical one, but not knowing much about Bungie before Destiny, I cannot imagine what that argument would be.

There are too many big words for me to understand what you're trying to say.

25 RepliesA team full of randoms in trials!? Lol! Going flawless just got a whole lot easier. I will never understand this pointless argument of adding matchmaking to raids or trials. It's gonna be full of awful players and trolls galore. But whatever I hope bungie one day adds match making just so I can see more people complaining on the forums. Aka more entertainment!

1 ReplyDestiny can't handle optional matchmaking because of last gen holding it back. Screw you poor fags.
why can't I #satire an individual post
1 ReplyLink to the one that deej replied to? I can't find it.

Matchmade teams on trials would have been destroyed just like everyone who used recuitment however prison of elders could work

Edited by Sonic Roctopus: 5/26/2015 10:30:48 PMDo you really think that you and a matchmade team of randoms would be able to beat me and two other solid teammates in the trials of Osiris? And no, skill scaling is not what the trials are about. You don't deserve rewards if you can't beat every kind of team, skilled or unskilled. I don't care if they put in matchmaking. If anything it just makes it easier for the better players.

36 RepliesEdited by LordofChaos: 5/25/2015 10:00:31 PMSorry kidd it wont ever happen just because YOU want it to so you do not have to take the time to make any friends or get a group together first. and they do not ever have to give you a reason either. their game, their house, their toys, their rules. deal with it or quit playing the game. they will not ever add optional matchmaking to this game at all. no game really has it on console for pvp based activities. tough if you dont like you cannot go to ToO as a lone wolf, or PoE as a lone wolf.

I agree. I think matchmaking should be able to be turned on and off in all situations.

7 RepliesEdited by Is__Endless: 5/25/2015 6:00:04 PMI do not believe that there should be matchmaking in the following activities; Prison of Elders 32 to 35 Vault of Glass Crota's End Trials of Osiris Nightfall strikes However, I do believe the game should have a built-in team-finder. Not matchmaking. What I'm proposing is a built-in LFG site. You post your character information, desired activity and any other information needed. This would make a lot more people consider raiding. It would obviously require a lot of extra coding and usage of developers' time. However, it would benefit the PvE community a lot. Especially on the last gen consoles. Most of the LFG sites look like ghost towns when you search for PS3 or 360 teams. This feature would help every platform. Here's my idea; > Add a new space in the director called "LFG" or "Fireteam Builder" > Upon clicking on this space in the director, you will be taken to a text-only area (to reduce usage of the console's power) > Each activity will be listed and selected via a drop menu > Information fields will include a field for each of the following; Character level *An alternative to the character level and class fields would be to simply show the player's emblem with their level and class* Character class Weapons (This space will be used to state that you have certain weapons that aid you in the raid) 140 characters to say anything else you need to say about yourself > After you fill in all of your information, you submit your group and wait for messages/invites via your platform's network services (PSN/XBL) I strongly believe that this is both more efficient and accessible than LFG sites. Especially for last gen players.

2 RepliesI am all for optional matchmaking for trials of Osiris
it'll make it a lot easier to go 9-0
-
1 ReplyYou can have optional all you want, but I feel bad for those who only use matchmaking.
-
link the feedback thread also matchmaking in ToO would be unfair for the LFG teams anyways because a fireteam would usually rek on the randoms making the lighthouse less of an achievement
-
1 ReplyI would love optional matchmaking for To0. Means my team would make it to the lighthouse without worry, everytine

39 RepliesOkay, you have destiny, so you have internet correct? Yes, you do or else you wouldnt be playing it, well if you dont have friends online there are these weird things I think called forums and im pretty sure there is also a "recruitment" page to meet all sorts of people in the same predicament Sure its not the laziest way for us to find games but it does entail some sort of social interaction because usually when I matchmake no one has a mic on...
-
3 RepliesI have completed skolas 3 times and trials flawless twice in a week with no matchmaking. Its fine how it is
