I would agree with that statement at the beginning but crucible is finally coming into its own. They are getting close to really good MP experience. It also helps that all of the other mainstay MP games have started to really suck. I think TTK is perfect and really just need to work on weapon balance and better maps.

Combining PVP and PVE in a MMO never worked well. Players don't have equal access to the same choice of gears, which lead to balancing issue which leads to devs nerfing or tweaking which then leads to unnecessary worse performance in PVE. If the bungie wanted the Crucible to be competitive, they need to separate PVE and PVP into mutually exclusive content. One example is is Guild wars 2 PVP system where everyone have access to the same gear and upgrades, all skills unlocked straight from the start. Another example is wow's system of PVP and PVE gear; you can still use PVE gear in PVP and vice versa but you will be very ineffective. On top of that the means of acquiring PVP and PVE gear is vastly different. Let's have a made up scenario, let's say a lvl 20 new player jumped into the crucible and got himself killed by vex mythoclast. He thinks "Wow that gun is strong, i want to use it too" then he go look up how to get it, and finding out that he needs to grind to lvl 30 first then pray that RNGsus is kind to him. Let's have another scenario, this time take example from call of duty. A new player say rank 5, got killed by an ACR and thinking that he wanted to use it too. All he have to do is just level up a bit and unlocked and use it for free. This brings me to another point. Which is that there is an obvious lack of diversity interms of gear choice. Hand cannons, pulse rifles, and shotguns are painfully common. This is in part due to the nerf of auto rifles where bungie confused overly used with over powered. What should be done is the best weapon of the best category should not be drastically better than the worst of the worst category. The difference is still there and noticeable, but should not be large enough to warrant certain weapons or weapon types to be completely unviable. Another thing is the map design. The maps in crucible are surprisingly large but a lot of them time, it's dominated by CQBs. This can be attributed to the over cluttered map design with too many obstructions. This is the other reason why shotguns are the most common special weapons as they occupy that largest niche. The last thing is the radar, it renders common tactics such as flanking and camping not viable. This promote rushing which once again increase the prevalence of close range engagement.

In my opinion destiny has the perfect TTK of most games I have played (exempt from thorn and tlw of course, but even then I'm not a bıtch and I don't cry nerf every time I die from it) games like cod and cs have too quick of a TTK for me (good god wtf AW) and halo although fun seems like it takes too long to kill especially since the main weapon has a range of a shotgun. Don't get me wrong, I know how to play halo and cod (never actually played CS) battlefield is fine, crysis is underrated and destiny to me is perfect in terms of TTK. The only problems I have with destiny is the unbalanced maps and the retardation of autorifles.

Ignorance. This game is not as bad as people make it out to be. It's a great game cross between halo and cod. Could it of been better or had better aspects to it? Yes. Nonetheless a mass played mmo shooter. Who doesn't like shooting people with space weapons or magic?
