How Will Anyone Get Thorn Now?
With Auto Rifles such as Atheon's Epilogue butchered as well as us not able to rely on special ammo, how will anyone get the Thorn. They seriously -blam!-ed up here. Unless you're a Warlock, you're essentially -blam!-ed.
Edit 1: I now realize that there are void heavies, but you cannot rely on heavy as it spawns no more than 3 times as game AND the enemies also have it as well. Using the Word of Crota as your primary will get you mowed down by a Last Word or some over powered weapon.

It's really not that difficult, got mine after the recent update. Use the hand cannon from the Crota, equip a void secondry and void heavy. Will get it done in no time (was a hunter when I did this)

I was honestly kind of scared about the crucible part. The first two parts of the bounty were easy and took me 20 minutes combined but the crucible part seemed difficult. I didn't have a void shotgun so I just bought a void fusion rifle from the gun dude. I already had the word of Crota and the valedictorian so I went into crucible and started playing. To be honest, it took me like 2 hours of gameplay. It wasn't as bad as I thought.

Start a match, use the ammo you spawn with, leave Join another match Alternatively get one with double down and see how well it procs extra ammo

After the patch it went a lot easier. I used a Titan with magnetic void grenades, a two to the morgue from crucible vendor which was void, and a void one way ticket. I put on my armamentarium so had extra secondary and heavy ammo in addition to an extra grenade. I'm actually struggling with the final part, the summoning pits strike

I got mine. 3 using feral spark fr6 fusion rifle. Yes indeed. :)

Atheons Ep n chasma shottie worked fine for me both times for that bounty on my Titan n hunter

I've done the bounty 4 times with the epilouge even recently

Warlock with void walker, word of Crota, swordbreaker, and truth. I got it done in less than 7 pvp games.

I used bubble titan with WoC, Swordbreaker and Truth and got it in less than 2 hours and I SUCK at PvP.

My warlock just finished another Thorn PVP portion of bounty and those are the only crucible games I've played with that char - I'm pretty terrible and still managed to clear 1 k/d (barely) using weapons I would not normally pick as "first choice" - I also completed the crucible portions of Bad JuJu/Invective at the same time - saving all 3 for HOW release (already have them all). -WOC was surprisingly better than I thought it would be, WAYYYYYY better than trying to do it with AE like the first time, yes I would rather use something else but didn't feel horribly handicapped I don't think there are enough specifics on how much special ammo will still be available after update to decide - there is so much now I've never run out.

I did it this weekend, granted I had Word of Crota, but didn't find myself using it much. Just equip void rocket and shotty (I used Truth and Swordbreaker). Embrace the suck that is crucible. It's going to be brutal at first, but learn to jump a lot, I mean a lot, slide, and skeet shooting other jumpers. Also, would behoove anyone to do this bounty as warlock as novabombs and grenades are void. I HATE crucible, but managed to get all three exotic crucible bounties done. You can do it, hop in and take your lumps. Once you're done you never have to play it again, thank god!

6 RepliesJust do it the easy way in rumble where you bring a couple friends in that are willing to let you kill them. Then you can use any crappy weapon you choose

1 ReplyThere are many types of void guns for everyone's preference. Also this is an exotic bounty. It's not meant to be easy or for everyone to do it. Only the worthy Guardians ;-)

I only had a void swarm. I relied in heavy and i had the whole bounty done in 1 day. Its not that hard
