Please please please Bungie start charging a monthly subscription fee. This would accomplish two things. 1st it would rid you of 90% of the whining cry baby demanding -blam-holes who demand every week that you nerf this or drop that or I quit rant. It really isn't necessarily a loss because the lost revenue from them potentially continuing after HoW is easily replaced with what would be earned from the monthly subscribers. Second, with this boost of revenue I am sure you guys could find SOMEONE WHO DOESNT HAVE THEIR HEAD UP THEIR -blam-!!
Edit: hmm well apparently the economy has not improved as well as Fox news would like you to believe. I never would have guessed that $10/month would cause such an uproar. I mean eat at McDonalds one less time in the month.
This edit is primarily for those who are willing to discuss the topic in a civil manner. By my last sentence of "Second, with this boost of revenue I am sure you guys could find SOMEONE WHO DOESNT HAVE THEIR HEAD UP THEIR -blam-!!" I meant by having the monthly sub everything that has been promised would be delivered. I thought it was obvious that we all want not just more copycat content (like CTF), but Destiny original. A perfect example of what i am proposing is this. That with a monthly sub with this next DLC that will expand the vault, instead of just waking up the morning after the DLC and voila you have more vault space. What if instead you wake up and log in and find you have to go speak with the Speaker who sends you on a random side quest and after completion you have extra vault space.
Edit 2: so out of everyone that has read this thread, according to this ban poll Bungir would lose 300+ players. I think the $10/month would more than cover the lost revenue from these scrubs not purchasing anymore DLCs

3 RepliesLmfao are you retarded? In order for this to be even considered as a possibility the game would need to have actual content worth paying for, and honestly, it failed miserably in this regard. The story is nonexistent, there's no incentives to grinding, and the light level system is complete aids. Only reason I'm still gunning is that I don't have anything else i'd like to play
-
Subscriptions won't help whining. It will make people more entitled.
-
Bungie and Activision already took out content for money, they don't need more
-
Nice random hate of Fox News, even though ya know, it's the liberal media that tries to say the president has improved the economy Anyways, that's a funny train of thought..."make us pay more so the people who expect improvements will leave!"
-
8 RepliesI made a post like this about kick-starter for more content. The general consensus was that $60 plus dlc money is a lot of money for more people than I would have guessed. $10-20 bucks a month is no sweat of my ass and I would gladly pay anything for more and more content. But as I haven't read down yet I'm sure people are ripping you a new asshole. I'm also 32 years old with a good job so my opinion is probably in the minority. Some of these poor kids are still on last gen systems. I know I just went full retard on this reply but I needed to say it since I got annihilated on my post of this.

Anyone that pays extra to play their games are honestly at the peak of mental retardation. "Let me pay money to use something I already own, and use on a daily basis" That would be like paying a monthly fee just to use your front door. I am glad that idiots like you don't get your way. Kids like you and the micro-transaction gamers need to stay the -blam!- away from consoles and go back to your mobile games. Then you can pay your $9.99 to play for another hour. Get the -blam!- off Destiny Boards with this stupid shit.
-
You should never ever go full retard
-
They should be us s monthly fee
-
I posted this on another topic wanting a monthly sub fee.
A. Destiny is not worth a monthly subscription B. The have half a -blam!-ing billion dollars. Edit: After looking at some comments I have decided to add these. C. XBL/PS+ costs money per month D. Most if not all subscription based games have free DLC, no one would want to pay $7.50-$10.00 a month and have to pay for dlc.
Seriously, please stop sniffing glue!

Oh ell naw

1 ReplyThis would literally be the death of destiny. Also raids and nightfall groups become harder to make after that large player drop.

>Be me >Looks at title >"Ugh another dumb satire post" >Clicks on post cause why not >Looks for #satire >Doesn't see it >"Is this guy for real?" >Reads post >"Oh god please be b8" >Not b8 >Mfw someone thinks monthly sub on a content-lacking game is good idea
-
lol no
-
No. Just no
-
Screw off
-
If you want to destroy Destiny, you're on the right path.
-
YOUR A DUMBASS, Lets give them more $ for a product that isnt complete, let alone very much above par, and encourage them to release half assed products?

Edited by Trolllog: 3/31/2015 10:41:18 PMYou are a moron you know that? People have trouble affording the DB and you want people to pay a monthly fee! People have spent hundreds of hours playing this game, and then a monthly fee! What if they can't afford it? All the hours gone! People like you...
-
This game isnt worthy of a sub.
-
I fail too see how this would help. Even if they did implement it they already have a development strategy in place. The people who decided to pay for the subscription would only complain more now as they are paying a monthly fee and still not getting any more content.
-
lol redshirt4life banned you
-
Stfu. You sound like one of those whiny bitches you were just complaining about.
-
Nah. I agree on the crying part but nah.
-
How about they put more than one dlc out in the 7 almost 8 months that's the game has been out before they do that bullshit. They would lose so many players so fast.

Edited by CravenDescent: 3/31/2015 10:20:44 PMI can undermine your argument with a single example of a console game with a monthly subscription. Phantasy Star Universe Sure it was fun, but the monthly subscription didn't fix a thing.
