Disrespectful Raiders
I have to say I just had the [u]worst[/u] raid experience since the start of the game.
I join for a fresh Crota Raid on Normal (Helping my friend through it since I normally run swordbearer) I got into in.. And they are at the bridge.
Me: I thought it was a fresh start?
Fireteam leader: It was [u]fresh[/u] when I started it.
Me:...
It then precedes to them trying to cheese it by the warlock waiting for the end timer to reach 0 then self reviving.
I voiced that I want to do it legit after his first failed attempt...
And then was just shit talked for 5 minutes straight.
"You sound like an eight year old"
"If you don't like it leave"
"I'm gonna kick this kid"
I then state that I'm a female adult..
"I don't know how I should feel raiding with a girl that sounds like a gay guy"
"I'm going to kick you"
"Stop being immature"(just because I mentioned that his glitch wasn't working lol)
I ended up just leaving.. I can't stand guys who act like that.
Nothing makes you better than anyone else so stop being an Internet tough guy.
Maybe I should find some other gals to play with or maybe just some guys who aren't d-bags

5 RepliesYou need not mention your sex... I've had very similar raid EXP myself. I'd leave most teams if it wasn't such a pain to find a new one. However, about 90% of the people I play with on Destiny are pretty cool, and for internet gaming, that's incredible.

I'm in a clan with a husband and wife. Known them for years. Early on it was tough. Too many immature kids playing. Their libidos couldn't handle playing with a woman. It's much better now because we've filled in the clan with people we like. Now we're up to two regular females players. And the rest are just chill dudes. No drama.

6 RepliesUnfortunately most teenage and even younger adults are this way, they take the game to serious and believe only males can do the best at playing the game ever. That their way is the best and only way an anyone that dares to say anything different is wrong. I play for fun, I dont get upset if I wipe a few times because something went wrong only children do that. So either you go some children thinking they were adults, or some adults acting like children in that group. which happens and the best choice is to leave and laugh softly at them for being such knowing they will probably wipe many more times before they ever get it right.

Sounds normal to me... It's an everyday occurrence for me when I participate in a raid, someone is disrespecting someone else.. I hear it all the time, sometime it's funny and other time it's just downright messed up ..

There are some unsavory characters in this game, more than I would like, but don't let it get you down. I just think it's cool that so many woman are playing this game. When I grew up, video games were just for boys. I'm glad that's changing. Too bad we can't change the stupid caveman mentality that some people have.

Yeah it's a crap chute out there. I'm in a constant struggle to find raid teams that don't cheese the bridge. I find that instead of suggesting we do it legit, I say it's easy and only scrubs have to cheese it I get my way more often. Those guys were just dbags. Don't pay them any mind.

I have done that part of the raid the normal (legit) way and by all cheese methods. To be honest, it is frustrating to see people fail when you are doing good. It soils all your efforts. Now, i have played with two kind of irritating players: the bad mouth and the arrogant prick. And to be honest, i preffer the bad mouth one....

1 ReplyThose fellas are just self-entitled jerks, I drop from raid groups immediately if I see a tell-tale sign of jerks in the group. It really sucks you had to put up with that, usually the groups I play with are pretty cool. Very few people are actually jerks like that. Infact, I had a group on Monday where we were all at Atheon laughing like maniacs because we had one guy leave and we started doing stupid crap like grenading atheon the entire way through. It almost worked too. . . Laughing now just thinking about it. Lol

Come check us out. Vanguard Syndicate. 18 and up only mature group. We have several other active females. All are treated with respect....although we shit talk. Better than dealing with random idiots.
