After that tier, it's a tie between Suros (since nerfed it's dropped), Truth, Plan C, Patience and Time, Bad Ju,The Vex (also dropped since nerf) and The Last Word for fourth. Next tier, tied for fifth (or last, however you want to look at it), Monte Carlo (dropped since nerf), Pocket Infinity, Super Good Advice, Dragon's Breath, No Land Beyond, Universal Remote, and Hard Light (dropped even further since nerf).

Icebreaker hands down man. Random guess but id say a huge player base has that in their loadout 75% of the time. It has use in almost any situation...Hell I have even used in NF without Solar burns. A close 2nd for me would be Mida Insane Headshot and Stagger Tool...Headshot bountie, check...run speed for Abyss, Check.

Icebreaker, in fact I'd daresay Icebreaker is better than Gjally. As much as I love the Horn (giggity) it doesnt double up as an ammo synth nor could I solo an entire Nightfall with it. However, behind Icebreaker and Gjallarhorn? HMMMM.... Probably Patience and Time to be honest. Thats my next most used Exotic, though the Vex is tasty AF too...

1 ReplyYeah it's definitely icebreaker. People keep saying "it's not that good" because they're on Black Hammers dick, but I can use icebreaker all day, you can only use Black Hammer during fights with large crit spot targets.

Edited by ixJake: 3/4/2015 8:40:18 AMNo icebreaker? I would put icebreaker in front of gally, IB is just so versitile. Its useful in almost every situation, Gally and BH are only mainly good for boss'. IB is also great for boss' and can still be used very effectively in all casual situations

6 RepliesI don't understand why people are so into Ice Breaker. I loved it when I got it in January, second exotic after the Truth. It changed the way I "performed" in VoG. It took me from noob to "normal" so to speak. Now? I use Black Hammer 90% of the time. IB only in VoG, it's handy in a few situations. So IB best thing after Gjallarhorn? Not for me. I know I depend on it in a few situations, but that alone doesn't make it so fantastic. Except for the regenerating bullets, Black Hammer is much better. I would say Vex is special (how it looks, PvP monster, it feels special). I love Thorn, which I recently acquired. DoT, how it looks, the weird bullets. And it's an exotic you actually have to earn. No Xur, no RNG (except for receiving the bounty) Red Death is now also really great from what I hear. Thunderlord is great. Suros still lovely, even after the nerf. Ice Breaker? Nah...

Back at the beginning? Suros n vex.... Absolute wrecking machines. Then came the nerfs. Two guns which can change a game? IB and HM.
