Alright so in the new trailer the Hunter (i believe) used blink to teleport through the enemy! Does that mean that you could also teleport through walls or enemies online? Because i dont think he teleported and then went over the enemy! Idk just what i thought it looked like! Please leave your opinions and try not to hate too much! Thanks

1 ReplyWhen I get blink on my hunter I'm going to mars and doing that exact thing just because of that trailer.

Just think of it like Delsin's smoke dash from Infamous.

5 RepliesI thought only warlocks could use blink. Can hunters too?

What I think the game does when you use blink is this; You press the jump button and your character emit a line (not visible) in front of himself of a certain distance. You will blink to the end of this line. In case this line intersects with an object, such as a wall, the end of the line will be in front of the wall. So I think, that you won't be able to teleport through walls. This would cause for all sorts of weird stuff if you were to blink though the end of an area.

5 RepliesEdited by Avilore: 9/5/2014 10:14:13 AMAs said before, he used blink. However, if you're to use it, I'd suggest not trying to go through something solid, like a wall, especially if you don't know what's on the other side. If done, you could either smack into the wall, not go through, pop into a room of cabals and knock over the table they were playing poker on, or even (worst case scenario) blink into solid concrete and be trapped in darkness. You'd be unable to move or generate light to blink again, making you the recreation of the Cask of Amontillado.
I'd recommend sticking to open environments.
5 RepliesI think we'll be able to bling through enemies but not walls. But thats my opinion.

7 RepliesI was happy with what I saw because blink is actually a teleport and NOT a rapid movement (I'm looking at you, dishonored) I don't think you'll be able to go through walls but I think enemies will be possible
-
I just assumed that was done more to look cool than to demonstrate blink, though your question did make me wonder... Why not just throw them? Haha

Looked like the hunter went invisible to me, rather than a blink. His reappearance was delayed and the visual effect was similar to that of active camo from Halo.

It's not any more fair that a hunter gets a special golden gun to shoot targets but the titan get the fist of havoc and doesn't have to hit anything, just land close to the target. I agree with other people that they have made sure that things will be balanced.

If it were like Shadowrun that'd be cool as shit, but I doubt it would be.

4 RepliesEdited by VIK_DOOM: 9/5/2014 11:01:51 AMIt's available on the default subclass for warlock EDIT: cuz we're badass
-
I think that was just for the purpose of the video that he went through the cabal, if you could blink though walls that would be so OP, not to mention the -blam!-tonne of awkward situations that would occur.

1 ReplyI cant wait any more ):

I believe he used blink, he pulled the pins and when he blinked they fell at the cabals feet making him no more. :) cool to see that plus everything else.
