I can only assume the NDA is up now, and creators are sharing their thoughts and gameplay of the new DLC, Edge of Fate.
Of the three exotics, two are great. They promote great build diversity, and they have effects that cannot be recreated by anything else. Hunters get double-tangle and better melee usage, Titans get a Thor callback for the hammers, and Warlocks get…
A slight hellion damage buff. Oh, and shrapnel that (from what I’ve seen) misses 90% of the time anyway. In other words, a direct downgrade from what Dawn Chorus could already provide.
Bungie, please rework this exotic before its’ release. I strongly believe it will be easily overshadowed on release by options that are marginally better due to its’ vastness in effects. Again, an example being Dawn Chorus (3x scorch and ignition damage, as well as a daybreak buff and melee energy from all sources of scorch).
Well, it doesn’t take a genius to see how this exotic isn’t exactly revolutionary, and I doubt any new builds will be made using this — at least, nowhere near as many as the other two classes get.

3 RepliesNot only is the exotic underwhelming, but I'm assuming that is why helion aspect is being nerfed... much like Lorely Splendor was the reason sunspot was gutted. It may have some use in some longer range DPS rotations, but it's not an exotic that draws much interest.

the hunter exotic does literaly nothing ...

Yay more turrets crap, im so happy the extraterrestrials five universes over can hear my excitement(this is sarcasm btw)

None of the exotics are remotely good, they are all dead on arrival. Prefiring the people typing up some nonsense about how XYZ gimmick was the last piece of the puzzle for their vanguard ops and patrol build please spare me. None of these hold a candle to speaker's sight, lunafactions, sanguine alchemy, cuirass, synthoceps, etc., and all of the exotic class item combinations with prismatic.

The titan exotic will be a lot of fun in lower lever content, but not easy to maintain or use in high end content. The hunter one is in a similar position, as it will be best on strand hunter and in lower level solo content. Fun, but not practical in high end content. The warlock exotic isn’t exactly exciting, but is going to be very good, especially in high end content since there is no kill requirement and it is on an ability that is already good. It also has way more to pair it with.

2 RepliesI don't think we did 🤔 I mean it's not super crazy but it looks like fun with a scorch build.

Titan exotic will be great on patrols. Bonking red bars in GM's and doing next to no damage ain't gonna be much use.
-
I hate turrets. Id rather see a new voidwalker aspect or exotic. Just kidding we're not allowed to have those! If it isn't a new turret aspect it's a turret exotic!

4 Repliesout of the new exotics only the lock and maybe the hunter one one can have a use in end game content

I'm looking forward to it as one of my main builds for solo uses Helion so I can get more out of it. Already planning build ideas.
