Pathfinder needs to change
This new idea while it sounds good is not gonna work unless you take away the paths having to be in a line cus some of us will not play pvp you guys also need to add back the exotic engram every three strikes or else it will make strikes obsolete some of us can't complete you raids or night falls so making people have to in order to get an exotic is really not cool or fun honestly

2 RepliesHere's how it should work: Instead of "use this weapon" it should be "use this ammo type" Instead of "blind/weaken n targets" it should be "debuff this many targets" Instead of "in this gamemode" put nothing. Let people do these objectives at any location or activity.

You should be able to complete a path without having to play Crucible, assuming your Pathfinder tree is the same as mine. For example: 1) Defeats w/ Sword 2) Defeats w/ Auto Rifle 3) Defeats in Vanguard playlist 4) Defeat challenging enemies in Gambit 5) Defeats in any ritual activity Most of the objectives don't require pvp kills, though they often give increased progress. If you were hoping to avoid Gambit as well, I'm afraid you're out of luck.

9 RepliesI have negative desire to PVP. The fact that they are now requiring me to PVP in order to get Vanguard rewards is bullshit. Well fine. I will be the -blam!- potato on your team. I will not go for a single kill. If I'm feeling energetic, I will run and slam my face into the barrel of their guns. If you are sad that you are losing because of me, blame Bungie because I DO. NOT. WANT. to be there.

Who asked for Pathfinder??? I was already happy with the Crucible, Gambit, and Vanguard bounty system, which, by the way, allowed me to farm for Bright Dust. Now I can no longer do that. Why??? Do they really think I am going to buy Silver because I can no longer obtain Bright Dust from bounties? Or that it gets me in the mood of spending any money on this game? I don't think so. If anything, I'm even more inclined not to, just because of it.

Yeah, I hate feeling forced to play something. I used to just pick up bounties and play, not even look at what you had to do to complete them and most would be completed after playing. Now you can only complete them in ritual activities so once you've hit a certain power level vanguard ops is just boring and monotonous. 🤷♂️

Literally no one thinks you’re cool for refusing to play a big chunk of the game. If you choose not to play the whole game, then you choose not to get all rewards in the game. Literally 10 years later and you kids still don’t understand this concept.

1 ReplyBungi is not gonna order me to do pvp and gambit , they F that up years ago . The old gambit was fun and pvp without stasis and strand was even more fun . But they felt the need to change that what was fun into something boring and annoying . So i stopped playing pvp and gambit years ago . I will not suddenly start playing pvp and gambit so i can get rewards that i don't need anyway . 😂😂😂

2 RepliesMy teammates are gonna LOVE me now. Pathfinder forced me to use a sniper in Gambit and I deposited ZERO motes and went after sniper kills and we lost the game. This is gonna be hysterical Bungie, Frankly I think its time after 10 yrs to drop this side job ridiculous grind chore game. And its funny because I ENJOYED Old bounty system, I could choose what i wanted to do.

3 RepliesI WOULD play PvP, but the modes are garbage right now. Give me Momentum or Hardware and I'd be OK. Even Mayhem which has gotten pretty stale at this point, but whatever.

3 RepliesI play the whole game and am still not a fan of Pathfinder. Limits playing in one mode for an evening if you want to reset it. Has some annoying “blocking” bounties that block a path to completion. Bit of a failed experiment in my opinion. Otherwise loving the expansion.

What really sucks is that it was such an easy slamdunk for Bungie. Just make different paths with different ritual playlists in mind. One for vanguard ops, onslaught, gambit, and crucible. They never intercept and block each other, but give bonus rewards for maxing out additional lines on a single given card to incentivize people to play other game modes but not force it and annoy people. I have no idea what possibly goes through people's minds that this wasn't thought of. Maybe Bungie simply enjoys negative comments 24/7 about their new stuff, I dunno

The easiest method for bungie to fix this is by simply adding 3 separate paths, one for each mode and call it a day. Everyone gets to play what they want, they can complete the bounties however they like and everyone is happy.

I prefer Pathfinder to not mix PVP with PVE into the path. I would prefer the paths be seperated between PVP and PVE.

2 RepliesIt's total crap. I can't choose anymore what I want to play. I have to do stupid stuff to get rewards. That's a sure way to piss off your player base. Hearthstone learned that. Also, some of these challenges aren't registering. The one where you have to pickup heavy ammo in Gambit and the Void challenge, also for Gambit are still at 0 for me, while I definitely made progress on that.

10 RepliesI cant see anything to be better in the game when it looks even worse than before Example: previously u was able to do all 8 bountys with 1 strike run and if we count that 4 of these bountys is giving you 10 bright dust like it was u was able to end it with 160 bright dust and prime engram, now you need to do no less than 2 different activities to complete it fastest way but if playing cassually u will do around like 4 times more than usually could do before, thanks god i didnt buy new dlc and this game just improve that i made good decision not to give my money to such a greedy changes.

I like it. It forces people out of their comfort zone. It forces people to put their preconceived notions about certain activities aside and to try them again. The opinion you formed on Gambit, PVE, or Crucible 6 years ago after playing one strike, one crucible match, one Gambit match, may no longer be valid. Give each activity an honest chance. You may grow to love it.

They should just have sorta the layout like they have, except you can pick any on rhe next tier up. Also, though… the exotic reward every 3 matches in your desired activity still exists.
