who is this event for?
edit: it was brought to my attention that the crucible quest is entirely optional even when trying to get the event title. a shame that the lack of clarity on that and the introduction quest has and will continue to bait casual players into thinking they have to go into this gamemode that is very much not intended for nonpvp players
every other event was so casual friendly, could complete the quest fairly easy and get some fun rewards while trying some new silly stuff. but the pvp in this event is almost unplayable for casual players.
No sbmm and no mercy rule on the gaurdian games supremacy mode just leads to games like these where i and the other andom players just trying to complete the quest sit through 7 minutes of getting farmed by stacks of really good players. My last 6 matches in this have all gone this way, and im uncertain i will be able to finish this quest at all. i dont want to pretend to know how to run the game better but something really should be done to either make these matches more fair or not make this gamemode a requirement for completing the event. changing the playlist to skill based matchmaking feels like the best solution but something should be done regardless.
and before people comment it, yes this is a skill issue, but every other event has been aimed at casual players, and currently this is a spit in the face for the very large group of players like me who dont play pvp and hopped on today hoping to enjoy some new fun stuff before the end of this season

1 ReplyThese events are the best resource farms in the game. Some of them have good cosmetics and there's a few great weapons for people who don't raid or go flawless.

1 ReplyLimited time events ARE SUPPOSED TO BE CASUAL FUN to get all the rewards, not a damn grind fest. Warframe, OW2, WoW, hell even modern warfare and fortnite know how to do them leaps and bounds better than bungie can with destiny 2.

Literally the whole point of the game. Unless you enjoy running 100 raids 200 lost sectors and 30 error code Marion's bats whatever during your hour long gms. Have fun with that garbage.

Watched a titan get 4 supers in a row an constantly roll the entire game with heavy. I'm a fairly inconsistent pvp player so I'm not gonna act like I'm great but you can tell who is using cheating nowadays. It's extremely obvious.

You can always tell the difference between people who have real problems, and the people who just think they do. The ones with real problems want a decent game that's fun to play so they can escape their reality into a world of fantasy. The ones who don't have real problems want bugnie to dress up like a dominatrix and step on their junk with stiletto heels. You can tell because they're constantly screaming "Harder Bungie! Harder!" And yes I in fact do want you to be imagining Luke Smith in a corset and fish nets, stiletto heels, using a riding crop as his heavy weapon. Let that image be seered forever into your mental corneas.

1 ReplyChrist, reading the comments I'm in awe. Both are -blam!-, but given how cbmm pairs people based on connection and SBMM is skill, how the -blam!- is it better or worse in any regard? I'm a casual with a 0.93 K/D I don't want to queue into a game and get my -blam!- handed to me by a person with a 5.0 K/D. I'd rather take the bullshit of a delayed melee, super, gunshot, etc, rather than have 0 chance at hitting them. (I am visually disabled so increasing my skill is 3x harder so don't tell me to get gud, I have to use meta weapons to be where I'm at and I still struggle.) Yes, SBMM sucks, but unless you have a 1.0+ K/D, you don't really stand a chance and this event is just a nightmare....

3 RepliesI see it as a challenge. I’m up for it. I’ll try and get better. I just can’t f*** around with random load outs like I usually do. Titans are slaying out though. Lots of SMG’s and shotguns. And it’s thundercrash for breakfast, dinner and tea.

Really? All of my matches have been relatively even. About 60:40 in terms of wins:losses, for me, at least…

I had an overall great time playing supremacy. Yes, some of the lobby balance was terrible, but those were more the exception than the rule in my experience. If you’re not a PvP fan then that’s fine, but there’s no need to do a big song and dance about feeling hard done by because A. You didn’t read all the information completely and B. Bungie threw PvP players a bone - majority of these events forces us into boring and repetitive PvE content that’s long been stale and disinteresting.
